This campground is by far one of the best places to stay in Redding. We stayed for 10 days and had a spot right on the river and my husband caught a fish from the bank. It's peaceful & quiet (other than I-5 noise but it's not too bad), very very clean and well kept landscaping, bathrooms (hot showers) and laundry room. Everyone kept to themselves and the people who stayed there full time were really pleasant and kind. I would have given it 5 stars but the bathrooms were freezing. However that being said, it is January but if I had a suggestion for management I would suggest putting a couple portable

A very nice park. Level concrete sites with privacy hedges, nicely landscaped and on a river. Good amenities except wifi which is poor. Generally a very nice place.

Very nice people! Clean bathroom! Great view of the river.
It was very quite and the camp walkers all said hello as they past. Just enough room at the site and a short walk to the river.

Although this park is by the river, it is also by the freeway. If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is not the place. Semi truck noise all day and night. Also the woman in the office has issues. She could use some customer service skills. I wish I had read reviews before coming here. Won't be coming back.

Although the RV park is nicely landscaped and a few of the sites have a view of the Sacramento River, the office staff person needs to be more friendly and civil to her guests. We were evacuated due to the Fawn Fire and only 1 space was available for one night, only. We knew fully well that our rental expired at 11:00 a.m. and we were well on our way to packing up and leaving at 10:45 - yet the hostess had to call us and make sure we were leaving very soon; I felt like we were getting "the bum's rush" to vacate, NOW!! The hostesses' customer relations need some work and

Beware of CHERYL
This is a beautiful park and we enjoyed every part of our 3 day stay, except for one employee named Cheryl who seems to be the main full-time employee. When we ask to add our third day, Cheryl was incredibly rude and stressful when there was plenty of spots that we were able to switch into, after switching into a nearby spot, We tried to go do laundry at 3:30 p.m. and the laundry was locked up when it says it will be locked up at 5:00 p.m. so assuming the best we said we'll just do it in the morning before we check out, And when we went to put our laundry in at 8:45 a.m. ( opens

OMG I am so in love with this place. Was dry camping for a while and this park was heaven. One of the nicest parks I've ever seen, lots of space and right on the Sacramento River. I was able to do laundry and get a nice shower. Excellent part. Very clean and well kept. Oh my dogs were welcome too. Easy check in.

Decided to reserve some time for laziness after a road trip to Crater Lake National Park. After boondocking a few days, having full hookups seem so luxurious.

Check in was quick and simple. We were assigned site 26 and it was just a few feet to the Sacramento River. Residents shared that Salmon runs through here, but we all know it's timing. I did see a bass swim by me but he was plagued with battle scars. I've allowed him to live another day. LOL.

I recommend staying here whether you just want to spend a night or even make it a fishing trip. Just be sure check the Salmon season calendar

We were evacuated due to fire and needed a place to say for at least a month right before the 4th of July holiday. The owner and staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The park is beautiful and well maintained, we are so happy all the others were full so we found this hidden gem. We will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone we can!

JGW RV Park is hands down the most relaxing and luxurious place you will find traveling along the I-5 corridor. The owners have put so much effort into this RV park to make it the most beautiful and comfortable place to stay.. They have easy access RV sites and an abundance of places to set up a chair and have a picnic along the edge of the Sacramento River in a plush grassy park setting. You can relax, watch the wildlife and see the local fishing guides drift down the river. This place is definitely a 10 STAR destination.

We stayed here for 2 nights just as a stop on our way to another destination. This park is not conveniently located. It is two miles off freeway and you need to get back on I-5 to go to any grocery store, restaurant or gas. Fees are high but the park is nicely maintained, seems like mostly long-termers in there. Bathrooms and showers clean. Pool is not open unfortunately but looks nice--not sure why it would be closed. Skipped the laundry based on other reviews that it was expensive and machines are old plus the laundry hours are very inconvenient. The office staff are not readily available. I

I highly recommend you look elsewhere. There are many other great RV parks in town with great customer service and kind staff. I am sure many don't expect much customer service in the first place when booking at an RV park. However, do know that this place does not even have the bare minimum. If you are one day short of giving your 30 days notice, they will take your full deposit. They will tell you that they will subtract your final utility bill from it but WATCH your credit card statements because they will keep charging you. I don't recommend authorizing auto pay if you don't

Nice park, sites are well maintained and proximity to the Sacramento River was great. Close to the interstate, so it is a bit noisy, but we use a portable fan for white noise and it blocks out the traffic noise. Nicely landscaped, nice pool area.

We arrived there on an extremely hot day yesterday. So nice in the office, they gave us several choices of spots, based on the shade. They were closing and when I called, they let me run over and get some ice. We had to skip out planned destination due to a fire in the area and this was on the way home. They made a not so fun day at 108 degrees and interrupted plans so much better. Beautiful park and would love to stay there again when summer is over.
Thanks again!!

We left our Airstream trailer here in their storage area for six nights to get it out of a heavy snow fall and it was broken into. The door locks were destroyed and personal property was stolen. The office at JGW did not even call us to tell us it had happened. They told us when we showed up to pick it up. Never again.....people can just drive around and look for empty trailers. Skip this place.

The park is great except for the break-in problem they have. My truck was broken into and approx $1300.00 worth of stuff stolen on last night of stay. I found out after that they had several other break-in that week. They did not warn us of this problem at check-in. They need to have some sort of roaming security at night to help stop this problem.

First time here... Horrible experience with the people in the office. We had 3 spots reserved about 2 months ago and they were all river front next to each other. We got there they didn't give us the right spots and had 2 of us on 4 spots away and the 3 was on the other side of the park. The response was we were too busy and had to move you around. We said we didn't like it and the woman said "if you don't like it go to a different RV park." Thats is horrible. Nice grounds and clean.
We are here in July in the middle of a heat wave it was 105 plus and they have a pool but
