Shannon and Cary Park own this little gem. The signage and WIFI are excellent. If you enjoy trains and firetrucks, this is the place to be. Owners are kind, thoughtful, and helpful. After mentioning in passing that our A/C was not working, Cary insisted on having a look at our RV. He spent more than an hour troubleshooting the problem. Turns out our house battery is either dying or the charging system is not working correctly. Cary loaned us a battery for for the night. He topped off our battery and SUCCESS, the A/C worked. This temporary fix got us on the road again. So grateful to him for going

We came here for a two night stay on a road trip. We got here at 11am and there was no one there either in the office, store, or on site night registration location. Even though the hours show they are open all day, a sign was up saying they wouldn'tbe back until 1:30pm. After spending some time looking at other parks, rather than waiting for almost three hours to register for a camp site we already had reservations for, and cancelling a day of our trip, we just picked a spot and set up. Of the three days we were actually at the park, the office was open once, and that was only because we waited

I found Fawndale Oaks online. I looked at their website and thought it sounded good. The website is too unclear. Looking at the website I thought it sounded pretty. When I stayed there, it was negatively not what I expected. The park is bordered by Interstate-5 so it is very noisy. Unless you are extremely used to that, it is difficult to sleep. I was in a tent slightly slanted because the ground sloops. Other than the old growth oaks and other natural beauties of the park, it is not a pretty site.
