Kobe Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

Dining experience was excellent. The wait staff were attentive, the food was prepared to desired taste and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

This restaurant was recommended to us and I was looking forward to trying it and making it my go to sushi place. I came in and there was very few people there. The waitress yelled from across the room for me to sit at the bar which was filthy. The menus were sticky and filthy also.
I ordered the sushi sashimi combination that came with a California roll. I asked to substitute a yellowtail and scallion roll for the California roll which was $.25 more. The waitress said she would ask. She then said it would be a dollar extra. I waited forever for my food even though the restaurant was not busy. I

The food was Great! The server was very friendly! Our cook was exceptionally Phenomenal!!! He was very engaging as well.

Wish they had hibachi all day on the weekends. We still enjoyed ourselves and they have wonderful food and drinks. Would return for more

If I could give this restaurant a half if star I would. This ONE STAR if for the manger because she was so nice. I went here tonight with boyfriend and had a very rude waiter. When we got here the waiter we had was cursing out the gate. He brought us to the table and THREW the menus down at us. Soon as he threw the menu down he asked "What do you want to drink" I proceeded to say can you give us a few minutes. He comes back 5 minutes later and ask do you know that you want now?" We told him what he wanted and he asked my boyfriend for his id, he looked at it and THREW it down on

The roll that supposedly won the best of bluffton was a mushy mess... miso soup was very fishy. I couldn't eat any of it... not sure what the "crunch" was but it wasn't crunchy... I paid for it anyways because I didn't want to be rude and the bill came to $73.00! It was all bad. I still tipped them $15 to be nice... the food was horrible.

Excellent food and great service. Had dinner with family and everything from hibachi entrees to the sushi was sooo good! I definitely recommend !!!!

Only Okko on the island beats them IMO. Consistently good hibachi and always enough for two or three meals, and I love their bluffton roll for sushi. Only minor complaint is that they serve the hot pink pickled ginger for sushi rather than the white. Friendly staff and entertaining chefs. Very solid choice!

Very disappointing experience. I have done hibachi several times and this was by far the worse experience EVER. Service unsatisfactory: no drink refills, no dish for sauce (had to pass the yum yum dispenser around the table). The chef actually left the grill twice to get help (bowls and translator)...thus some food was overcooked.

Chef was not engaging and/or entertaining so we simply watched him cook.

The food was actually tasty, but the service was a struggle.

I've ordered sushi from here several times. I have always done it online and the pick up is super easy. My only complaint is I wish I could pay online when I order so I could just walk in and pick it up. However the food and staff here is amazing. I will be back again.

Service was excellent and so was the food. Our server even brought out complimentary cups of soup for everyone at the table because the amount of sushi we ordered was going to take some time since they only had one sushi chef.

This was a nice find for our 6 year anniversary dinner! We made a reservation but showed up a little early and we were seated right away! The hostesses and waitress were very polite to us and the other couples at our grill! Food is priced extremely well and is average! The Fried Calamari was tasteless and could have been fried a few seconds longer. We ordered a Sushi App as well and that it was fantastic and well priced. Our main meals were the Steak and Shrimp Combination with extra rice and we were not disappointed. Our chef was.... okay but seemed disinterested in entertaining but cooks fantastically

I got lucky that it was empty because I went early and I felt like I booked the place just for me and my wife.
The food was DELICIOUS and the amount you get definitely worth the price!

This is not the Kobe you think it is. The food was less than average, and the prices are too high for the serving size. Two stars only because the service was better than the food.

Disappointed. Noodles are not included in the meals. It costs $7 to order a side and what is served is a small portion of a ramen type noodle with a displeasing flavor. White sauce, ginger dressing and veggies are too sweet. Soup and shrimp were good and service was good. They removed the noodles charge from our check.

The Atmosphere was inviting and cozy.

15 minutes later she confirm Sushi Order.
10 minutes later she returns to say she's putting the order in to the Chef. So I added to the order. I felt as though my request made her feel indifferent.
Before the end her attitude changed.

Food was delicious and the cook was friendly and very attentive to the kid audience at the table. He kept everyone entertained

Below average sushi bar and Teppan-Yaki. Nothing is spectacular about this restaurant. I had a long wait with no customers in the restaurant which was concerning . The owners had the TV on in bar so loud the whole restaurant could hear the news blaring . Dark and dirty place as the table was greasy and the menus were filthy . I will not go back .

So let me just say first of all that I am NOT picky with my hibachi. Honestly just fry some rice, cook some meat, tap the spatulas a few times and yell "Heyo!" as you flip an egg, and I'm good to go....

This was literally the worst Hibachi I have had in my life. And I frequent them back home in the Atlanta area. I would have been upset paying $10 for this (total, wife and I) but for $50 I feel personally insulted and laughed at.

Ate here last night for the first time. Enjoyed it very much. Food was well prepared, and the service was prompt.

We had reservations and still got to wait over 45 mins before we got soup and there was basically no crowd. Food was typical and service was slack. Pretty substantial language barrier with the waitress.

Called to make reservations. There was only one hostess on a weekend night and we did not get seated until an hour after our reservation time. Also, we were celebrating 2 birthdays and the waitress neglected to even do anything for the kids whom we were celebrating their birthday. Food was delicious but there was little to no structure on how to run the hostess and waitress positions.

Kobe Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar is hands-down the BEST Japanese hibachi restaurant in Bluffton! I can't speak for the sushi but the chicken & shrimp dinner is absolutely delicious. The chefs put on a great show and they know how to cook extremely well. What are you waiting for? Go and get you some hibachi, You'll have no regrets!

Table greasy. Poor presentation of food. Overpriced for what you get. Smells weird in here. Loud elevator music.
Waitress was nice. Sushi tasted good enough.

Not good. The food was bad, the waitress was bad. The only thing that was really great was the gentleman that did the teppan show. He was the only friendly person here. The place smelled dirty and old. The bathroom was disgusting. I took my son in there and decided I'd rather go to a gas station to take him

As I'm writing this I hear the Itamae/sushi chef spit...this place has taken a hit over the years. Our waitress only had one other table,but we rarely saw her,and when we did she was behind the bar looking at her phone. The lobster roll I ordered was drowning in whatever sauce was on top of it, so I sent it back. This isn't the Kobe's I remember.

After having a disappointing Sushi dinner with my mother, I have to let people know: don't waste your money because the sushi rice had strong vinegar taste, the pieces of fish were so thin, you saw the rice... the ginger tasted awful.
I asked for the bill and the waitress put another's tables dirty dishes on our table, so she could hand me the bill. Wow.... not worth your hard earned money folks.
