We went to Sunset Grill after reading the amazing reviews, however it fell a little short for me. It is a tiny restaurant on the second floor but the pool of an RV resort. Due to mobility issues, stairs ate a bit of a struggle for me but there was not an elevator option that I saw. The bathroom is also downstairs- you have to use the pool bathroom which was inconvenient and kind of gross. With the price of the meals here, I expected it to be a little nicer. There is a pretty view though. The food was a bit overpriced. It was good, but not amazing. The restaurant was very small and tables were crowded

The dining area is pretty small but it creates a nice intimate setting. The food was delicious and the servers were very friendly. The only downside is the location. They're on the second floor and there is no elevator. If you have mobility issues this could be a problem. My wife and I have both had recent knee surgeries and we weren't excited to find out we were stuck using the stairs.

I hate to give a poor review to anyone, but in an effort to get them to pick up their game some, here goes. The food was done very professionally, creative and well presented, but was salty, pasta was salty, scallops were salty, fish, a little. We had a party of 9 for 5pm and some of us got there 45 minutes early. We wanted to sit and have a drink before everyone else arrived. They actually open 5pm this night, there were a few people there and doors were open, but couldn't, or wouldn't accommodate us with a bottle of beer or a glass of wine at the bar. Unfortunately we had to run up the road to

Worth a trip to Hilton Head just to dine here. The food, the service, and the atmosphere both inside and outside are all outstanding.

What a joke. I entered a couple of minutes before my husband as he's slow in the stairs (above the laundromat for the RV park). Door oddly opens in the middle of the tables. No hostess stand. Stood by the bar with no acknowledgement. Once my husband entered a lady asked rudely "do you need something?". He asked for a table. Response: "Are you going to drink?" And "do you have reservations?" Maybe 10 tables and half were empty. No to the reservations. She asked us stand outside to wait as she dealt with the reservations (only other unseated group didn't

I'm sure the food is wonderful but we never got the chance as our reservation that I had called in the week before got lost.
Parking was also not easily available which didn't really matter since they were completely booked and we left.
It was very embarrassing as we were with friends and had to hunt for a place on a Friday night. Scratched this one off the list.

Great visual of food, but can’t agree with the amount of salt it already comes with.

Visited for the first time and were unaware of the rule that they would not split checks for parties of more than 5 people. Needless to say, this caused a bit of a boondoggle for those unprepared to cash out to one person putting the check on their card. The table would have been freed up much sooner if they had simply split the check instead of causing the patrons to go into accountant mode. Mentioning this when reservations are made for parties larger than five would have avoided the problem. Otherwise the food was extraordinary and the service impeccable. The view is just icing on the cake!

Sunset Grille is a hidden gem on Hilton Head. A lovely small and intimate restaurant with some of the best views! The food? Well, nothing less than excellent. Give it a try, you will be pleased.

Sad to come here and find that none of the staff were wearing masks and that the tables were only inside and not 6ft apart. My family left after having drinks and the waitress- who was wearing a trump apron (in summer 2021???) glared at us. Totally felt fine about leaving and finding food elsewhere on the island with more polite and inviting staff, better food too

Food was incredible!!! Service was some of the worst I've experienced. No such thing as southern hospitality with our server this morning. There was another lady in pink that was very pleasant and sweet. Our brunch server however was rude, aggressive and not worth what we paid for in our food. We were never brought water, offered coffee and had to yell across the room
For refills on our cocktails. I own restaurants and have been in the industry for 20 years. Always tip 50%. And I had a hard time leaving $20 on 160. I wish I would Of asked her name. But she was never at the table long

BEWARE. This restaurant does not have a modern reservation system (only pen, paper, and a notepad.) The restaurant lost a reservation that I made by phone the week before. My guest and I show up for the reservation and the restaurant manager claims that they have no record of it. No apology or accommodation offered from the manager. Parking is terrible too. Better places to dine on Hilton Head.

We enjoyed our dinner at this absolutely beautiful spot. The menu was a bit small, but you can't go wrong with any of the choices. The fish was so fresh and delicious. We also had the chocolate Bundt cake for dessert and that was wonderful.
The restaurant is small, so a reservation is recommended. Also, arrive a few minutes early as parking was limited as well.

Really unknown place, unless you’re a local, I’m told; however, I believe that’s how the owners want it. Just getting around to reviewing this great place, so here it goes!
They say it’s fine dining and I would agree the food is but don’t feel like you have to dress up — we were fairly casual and many there were as well. Don’t even try to go if you don’t have a reservation b/c it ain’t happening! Also, they don’t do to go orders, you have to sit down and eat there to get food. We had one at 8 pm, just before sunset. Aside from the food, coming here is worth it just for the

Very small inside and can be a little noisy if large parties are there. Food was excellent. Duck empanada was yummy. Wish there had been 2.
Veal chop prepared perfectly. Two big crab cakes were filling. Only two starch options: mashed potatoes (very good) and rice. I would go back.

Such a nice view of the sunset! The food was very good. A couple areas they could improve on, the mixed drinks were very watery and the salad looked like a dinner salad (although tasted great). They just need to put it in a nice bowl or plate so you feel good about spending 10+ bucks on a salad. If your in the area, worth a trip!

For the price we paid, the meal was not worth it. It was very crowded in there and very loud. The servers wore masks sometimes. My husband's steak was undercooked and the rest of the items on the plate were cold. The server was quick to get it back to the kitchen and it came out as ordered the second time. The sea bass special was supposed to have a chimichurri sauce but it appeared to just be butter with a few tiny pieces of bell peppers. My filet was very good. Nice location on marina.

Of all the restaurants that I have eaten at on Hilton Head Island, this is by far the best. Seafood is fresh and very well prepared. Kelly, our server, was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable about the food being served. And the sunset was awesome.

Excellent spot for dinner, their website does it NO justice. Beautiful view, great food and we felt very fortunate they were attached to our RV resort. I wouldn't label it as "cheap" but that's not a bad thing at all, quality isn't cheap. Also, keep in mind this is open to anyone, not just RV park users. You can even boat in, which looked like an amazing way to have dinner!

I Wanted to like it so much more. Would recommend ellas on the water for the same price but MUCH better service and food.

1. Another review said hidden gem- yeah, kinda. It's odd. You drive through an RV Park and the restaurant is above and partially overlooking the RV pool area-- so if no one is swimming, it's tranquil. Sight seeing at your risk depending on who and how many are in the water/on deck. (See pic)

2. It's very small- there actually is a small outside area but it's very rotted, they can't seat anyone and even the waitress said they've said something

What a pretty little slice of heaven. Small quaint restaurant with a large presence. My daughter and I are from New Orleans and decided to leave the storm. We love our good food!! The fried oysters were amazing and beautifully displayed . I had tonight's fish special which I believe was mahi.. it was excellent. My daughter loved her crab cakes.
The service was incredible in this picturesque little restaurant. Super sweet staff.... oh goodness our chocolate bundt... more sweetness.
Yes there are stairs and it might be a tad warm but it was worth it and not bad at all . I love that it was in
