UT has the Best Drs . It is a leading research facility . The Drs are all up to date on latest treatments available. I recently had a major Foot Revision Surgery by Dr Georg Lui. I have had 22 surgeries in my life, Mostly torn muscles. I was treated like royalty in the Surgical Unit. Best experience I have ever had. It just keeps getting better and better. The anesthesiologist pulled up a chair and spent 20 minutes with me explaining everything and listening to a major issue I had with a nerve block at Carroll Clinic for my knee replacement . Everybody was Fantastic!!. I see a few complaints here

I can’t say enough about how wonderful UTSW is.
After being diagnosed with bladder cancer, I had many appointments, images, and procedures done and I never had a negative experience with any of the doctors, nurses, or technicians.
I would recommend UTSW to my family and friends (and I have)!
Remember, you also have to be a good patient to achieve the best outcome!

My appointment for diagnostic nerve root block was canceled without asking me. Medical personnel decided if insurance denied payment than patient sure cannot pay out of pocket. Isn't it they suppose to be patient advocates?! The problem was some ignorant person incorrectly filed claim and insurance denied. When they refiled claim correctly insurance approved, but 2.5 weeks in advance appointment was already canceled. Now I have to wait weeks before this doctor will have open space for me. How dare they canceled my appointment without asking me and without investigating the problem? Without considering

So I currently work for UTSW, myself and my little have been exposed to COVID. I requested to leave a tad early (10-15min) to get downtown to get us tested. "I was told I currently have two people out and would like for you to reschedule". Can I reschedule my life or my son's! No I cannot. This is really obsurd. "The best place to work, lol. SIKE.

What management of care are you talking about Jaya Trivedi at UTSW Neurology? I removed you from my list of contacts long time ago. You and your staff are extremely incompetent and I probably should've pursued legal action against the mismanagement of my care. I still stand by my opinion: Dr. Sharon Nations is the worst of the worst doctors I ever met. DO NOT CONTACT ME.

My husband and I are new to UT Southwestern and so far we have been very impressed with the Doctors and efficient customer service received across many departments. It took a little bit of time to get our first appointment, but it was worth the wait!

After two months from the time my doctor sent in a referral I finally got a message saying to call and set up an appointment. I get a message saying they are busy and instead of waiting they would call me back. Left my number and no call back. Did this ever day for a week. Decided to wait, 65 min wait and a woman answer and I get disconnected! Next day I call again and wait 70min to get a live person. Yay finally get a appointment made. I thought I was going to a place to get help but instead I get judged and laughed at by the doctor, I've never felt so disrespected. I have so much to say but I

On December 4th 2021, around 2 am I was taken to the ER in an ambulance for severe chest pain. I mentioned that I have a mass that could be the reason. they gave me pain medicine and did an X-ray. After the X-ray ER doctors said everything looks good mass isn’t doing anything extra ordinary and its away from lung, and told me he’s going to send me home with pain medicine, when I wasn’t able to move or stand up because of my pain. I insisted that I can’t go home like this, I’m not even mobile. I asked to do a CT to have a better look, one of the ER doctors said result is going to be the

I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the beginning of Dec 2021. With the holidays so close I thought I would have to wait until after the new year. Dec 20 I was scheduled for surgery for a complete hysterectomy and have 2 large masses removed from my abdomen. Dr. Lococo was my surgeon. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Lococo, his wonderful staff and UTSW hospital. My surgery was a success and I will begin chemo soon. I am truly thankful for the care I received while in the hospital and for the staff making me feel so special. I look forward to getting my chemo treatments here at

I was shocked to find out in order to park at the Simmons building you have to pay for valet. As an inconvenience , you do have an option to park on the other side of the highway and take the shuttle across. I don't want anyone in my car other than my family.

Dr. Lauren Phillips, Neurology, is bottom of the barrel for sure. She started out like she cared, but as time went on she couldn't care less. I've been having progressing symptoms of what might be ALS, for the last two years. I was referred from another clinic to UT, because they are supposed to be a top notch neuromuscular medical facility in the nation. When I had my EMG/NCV, Dr. Phillips did not conduct it, and the reason the VA sent me was to have my swallowing evaluated. Dr. Trivedi (conducted the study), stated she could not place the EMG needle where it needed to go to test

The absolute worst experience and customer service I have ever had, and they are completely neglecting me. I have been trying to get in with the genetics office for months. I have probably spent and wasted 3+ hours on hold with this medical facility. I have sent them about 10 referrals through fax and email, and they have only received 2. The system there is messed up because referrals are not being seen. Instead of emailing/faxing me that my PCP's and rheumatologist's request was denied, they had to send it through a letter in the mail so I had to wait for that to do anything else. One

I went to UT Southwestern Medical Center, to their pain management program, in 2009/2010. A surgeon had torn apart my right gluteus muscle, but he hid his mistake and let me bleed out, get blood transfusions, and exist in extreme pain for two years.

At the pain management department within UT Southwestern, their recommendation to my pain management doctor was to take me off of all pain medication because it wasn't working.

I have never been more disgusted or dismayed by any health care professional prior to this point. They have no empathy for those who are suffering. It's like

If you need a kidney transplant and have diabetes, go somewhere else!!!!! The nurses here do not understand diabetes or they just don't care. We have been dealing with this hospital since 2018 (pre-covid) and the care is just not there. Even a doctor from the transplant team said we were done wrong. I just don't understand how a hospital can drop the ball so much. They only get one star because you have to.

This place is the pits. Might well be the worst run medical operation in existence. Way too big and disorganized. And the employees are clueless. These people don't have any sense and certainly any compassion for the sick and infirm. Is anyone running the joint? Seems not.

UTsouthwestern's Covid-19 registration MyChart website is too confusing. The agents are not trained well and I was sent to a blind UtSouthwestern phone number because the agent said I was declined from mychart in 2019. My wife has never been in Mychart. She is a regular patient there.
Why is it so hard to get this vaccine? My wife is bedridden, I do not want her in line at some Center around hundreds of people where she could catch this virus. She has multiple Sclerosis with past MS Flares and one stroke.
This vaccine rollout is a big ""mess""

You work with a great staff that is very precise and considers your health concerns very carefully and as best they can. when working with the hospital staff, I felt like I was working with people I knew real well and that cared about me and how I was going to be doing every moment I was there to make sure I was going to survive. I know if I am quite glad to have had their help in the time I was there and would highly recommend them to anyone needing medical attention if needed to look to them first.

I've been a patient at this medical center for a little more than 5 years, so I think I can speak from experience. I have had multiple procedures to include a radiation treatment, surgery and imaging done at Zale Lipshy Hospital as well as multiple procedures to include several surgeries and biopsies at the newer Clements Hospital. My experiences have always been top notch. Staff is always courteous and pleasant. I have a cancer care team here as well as a physician at one of the Fort Worth locations and again everyone is always so wonderful. I couldn't tell you the number of times

I was very impressed with this hospital. The people were very helpful and most of their processes were smooth. The doctor spent about 30 minutes with me which is unheard of these days.

Also, this is a teaching hospital so they have a lot of well informed doctors here who are specialist in their field.

This is a good place to get specialized care. I was very satisfied with my visit here.

Bills - (the reason for the 1 star) Almost a year later and we are still receiving new bills. We even received bills for services that according to the female doctor hadn't been performed. UT even has the nerve to

Honestly the experience at this hospital was not what we were expecting. You can give a discharge form saying follow up with ER if symptoms worsen but if you do try to call them and follow up, you will be told oh we don't give medical advice over the phone. You can get approved for their financial assistance program stating they will cover you for medical necessary expense then find out emergency room visits might not be consider medically necessary. On top of that, the general wait time of ER is around 6 hours...And some of the Front desk folks are really some piece of work who holds a IDGAF
