Shifting was poor after bike was transported in a van full of bikes over rough roads. Took to bike shop in a different town, and it came back just as bad. Brad at this shop listened to me, double checked what I said and made an adjustment or two, then took the bike on a test ride. Can't recommend these folks enough.

Black Burro is great. A friend and I were planning some bikepacking in the area and they were incredibly helpful in giving us recs and advice on the local trails. Unfortunately my buddy got injured prior to the trip but they were super chill and flexible with our rental reservation.
Will definitely be back next time I'm in BV and need a bike, advice, or just a beer!

Awesome experience at Black Burro Bikes a week ago. Had a mechanical that left me stranded out on the trail late afternoon. Called in the next morning, and spoke with Matt, who told me to bring it in right away and he'd see if he could get me back on the trails the same day.
Matt was skilled, friendly, fair and overall pleasure to deal with. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem, and figure out a solution to get it repaired.
I'd recommend them to anyone in need of a good bike shop in the area. I'll be sure to stop in the next time I'm in the neighborhood. Thanks Matt!

My review takes a little different stance, but speaks to the caring and integrity of an employee named Jed. On Monday, 9/21 my husband was riding his Niner in the bike lane on Main, when a hit and run driver turned right into him. The driver backed up over the front of his bike, and drove away. My husband's leg was shattered, and required extensive surgery the following day in Salida to insert a Titanium rod. We were visiting from Boulder, and I had to figure out how to get the front wheel off so it would fit in our truck. The bolt was sheared down, making removal very difficult. Jed

These guys are great. Every staff member I ran into was incredibly kind and helpful. I came in this shop about 5 times in a 2 day stay at BV. They did bike repairs for my wife and my son. When my son's bike got two flat tires and we didn't have the tools to fix it, they worked us in and got us back in the trails in about 20 minutes. They turned our misfortune into a pleasurable experience. They even gave great food recommendations!
