I loved the doctor but the office was a mess. I always had to call the next day to get my prescriptions sent to the pharmacy because they always forgot. Then they completely didnt realize my referral letter expired 5 months prior to my visit the day before my appointment (I'd already seen her once during this expired period) and because I couldn't get In touch with my doctor for one by my noon appointment, they charged me $50 for missing the appointment despite it being their fault. I switched to another dermatologist two years ago and just got a bill from June 2020 that I assume was charged extra

Giving this place 2 stars, because Dr. Obayan is very kind and knowledgeable. However, at my last visit I didn’t feel like I was listened to AT ALL.
For the past decade, I’ve struggled with a skin condition where I’ll have skin lesions, marks, spots pop up that will scab over on my back and upper arms (I’ll sometimes get the same thing on my face).
On my first visit, I was diagnosed with “Prurigo nodularis” and I was excited because I knew what I had wasn’t acne, like people have told me for the past 10 years, and this is the closest thing to what I might have. I got my prescription

I am no spring chicken, when it comes to Dr's offices. I know the drill.....provide them will Insurance, etc. However, this practice asked for a credit card number over the phone before they would confirm my appoint to do a SKIN CHECK. This is a medical procedure, and I have insurance. I would be happy to provide that information when I walk In the door, if it's needed. I am not going to give this out to a practice I have never used. The person who left me a voicemail also told me I could email them pictures of my ID and Insurance. Very happy with my experience so far at Skin Joy Dermatology! Dr. Obayan is so sweet and personable, she really cares about her patients and helping them. I waited until after my second visit to review because I wanted to give this place a fair shot. We got off to a bumpy start. There was some confusion about whether my visit would be cosmetic or medical. The difference in price was my $45 co-pay vs a few hundred dollars out of pocket! I went to Dr. Obayan back in 2019 complaining of some strange bumps that were presenting on my body. They were really small, not rash like and would occur randomly throughout the day and then last for almost a month. I also explained that I was having fevers and a bunch of other symptoms and that the bumps seemed related. She immediately said they were bed bugs. I distinctly remember telling her "I feel really strongly that these are not bug bites" and she said "Sorry to tell you, but they are. I would call an exterminator ASAP." So, I did just that. Dr. Obayan is an amazing dermatologist I initially came in for skin care due to severe hyperpigmentation and acne scarring I am proud to say it hasn't been a full month but I definitely see the difference the prescription medications are making and helping towards my skin I can not wait to go to my 6 week follow up. I called and got a quote prior to a procedure. When I arrived for my appointment know one seemed to know why I was there. When I went to pay the bill an additional office visit charge was added. I was told to return in 4 weeks for a checkup. I kept asking if I'd need to pay another office visit and she wouldn't give me a direct answer. The doctor was very kind, personable and helpful though.

Dr. Obayan & her assistant were very personable, kind and experienced. I was satisfied with the diagnosis she gave me and the plan of action to take. However, my checking out was disappointing. I called to reconfirm my appointment the day before and to inquire about adding a concern to discuss during my visit. During this call I inquired would my appointment time be enough allotted if not I could reschedule. So, we could visit all my concerns in one appointment. I was told it would be fine.
