CCA's counselors have unique specialties and diverse backgrounds to meet the individualized needs of every client. CCA accepts a variety of payments methods and insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, UMR, and Tricare.
At your first visit you will be greeted by our receptionist. They will assist you with completing paperwork, answering questions, and making sure you are comfortable while waiting for your therapist. Services
Jill and Sheena are both Park University Mater in Social Work graduates. Their journey together started as classmates and has evolved into creating a successful private practice. Jill and Sheena initially started as therapists at Clinical Counseling Associates Inc., a private practice that has been established in the community for approximately 30 years.
CCA currently partners with several local universities to provide internship opportunities for students interested in providing clinical services. All interns are under direct clinical supervision with a CCA professional for the duration of the internship.

Sheena is dually licensed in the state of Missouri and Kansas as a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC), and Certified Reciprocal Advance Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC).
She is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy) trained and certified to provide Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) assessments as stipulated by Department of Transportation regulations.Sheena is a first responder treatment provider for Missouri CIT, FRST, and a steering committee board member for Northland Trauma Recovery Network.

Kristi is your first point of contact at CCA KC. She will assist you with answering questions, scheduling an appointment, and most importantly choosing a counselor that is prefect for you! This place is fantastic. Marie is so caring and sweet and always makes me feel safe and comfortable talking to her about anything. She has made such a difference in my life in just the short 2 months I’ve been seeing her. The office is big and very nice too. I would recommend Marie and CCA to anybody looking for a counselor!

I love Clinical Counseling Associates! I have been going for about over a year and couldn’t be more happy about it! I definitely recommend, there are many different therapists for different types of mental health! Very satisfied with the area, the people, the common areas as well! You can also specify to see the therapy cat Niko, or Therapy dog Thor!

Unfortunately, when you reach out to these kinds of service you are already in the middle of a problem therefore you search for answers. My daughter and self needed some help during a rough time and we sought out for help and guidance but in return received disappointing services which caused even more issues. 1. They only accept auto draft but don’t bill quickly so watch out you can be slapped with them taking money all at once and weeks after appts (exactly what happened to me-) . 2. They will not give you a price for each session until insurance runs so again you have no clue how much each
