Weekend here in the past and have now became seasonal campers. Peaceful, quiet and serene campground! Clean bathrooms, well maintained roads, large shady spacious sites. Great customer service and response from owners. Owners are open and honest people! All the campers are super friendly and helpful!! Glad to have found this hidden gem of a campground!

My wife and I went into this campground with an open mind despite the many negative comments we found on the Internet. Unfortunately, this campground lived more up to the negative comments than the positive. There are a plenty of permanent sites here, and overall those campers were very friendly as they cruised around on their golf carts. The staff on-site are a different story...more to come on this below.
The clubhouse is stocked well with supplies should you forget anything on your trip out, but I can tell you other than that it is dated and not very welcoming. Dark, 1980's smell and very old

These guys need a lesson in customer service. Retiring from the military moving to Ohio we needed a place to stay while we wait for housing to be available. We stayed one month, but didn’t know if we would need the second month or not so we ask if we could do two weeks instead. Just to be safe in case the house became available. We were told if we did two weeks it would cost more than doing the whole month. With that information we ask if we could split the payment that month. Understand my wife and two kids are at this campground alone at the time since I am still in NC trying to finish what

I wish I had read more reviews before bothering to book a campsite here for a weekend. I would have gladly spent my money somewhere else. If a rundown junkyard of a campground is your ideal getaway, then come on down to the Chaparral Family Campground and Scrapyard! All of the buildings are in disrepair. Thank God for coronavirus, because the bath houses are closed. They look horrifying on the outside, so I can only imagine what they are like on the inside. There are many sites throughout the park that are obviously seasonals, but look like no one has been to their camper in years. Tall weeds growing

I have never written a review for a campground and have camped all over the country for many years, but I couldn't neglect to not let people know what we found while visiting Chaparral on June 18-21, 2018. First, I want to say the person who checked us in was pleasant. It goes downhill from there. The restrooms were almost unusable -- broken showers, missing faucets, dirty toilets/sinks/showers. The restroom near us was never touched/cleaned the entire time we were there. We checked out the other restroom that the manager said we could take showers in ... and it was in the same condition. We couldn
