Master Shon's Black Belt USA participates in a variety of competitive events throughout the year. Students are encouraged to participate and have a choice of competition categories. These events bring together our wonderful community of schools and students to highlight their dedication, effort and hard work.

The teaching staff is wonderful! I have to give special praise to Master Thomas, who is absolutely excellent with the youngest kids. He knows exactly when to be fun, when to be kind, and when to be just a little strict. My daughter, who usually won't stick to any task, is laser-focused during her class. Master Shon himself is also wonderful, and they have gone out of their way to keep things going during the pandemic.

We had our first trial class today and we already love it. Master Shon, Master Thomas and Miss Sydney are well skilled and kind with kids. They maintained a quick pace in teaching the kids, which made the kids stay engaged and excited and listening carefully to the next instructions. They not only taught children Tae Kwon Do moves but also about respect and personal discipline.

We love Mater Shon taekwondo . You become a part of their family . You will feel you belong from the moment you first enter their facility just to inquire . My son started as a Jiu jitsu little tiger in California When he was 5 and he absolutely loved it and so when we moved back here in WA ; we went to two other places before we found Master Shon and we just didn’t feel quite right with the first two martial arts classes that he tried out . We enrolled our 6 year old son in April 2013 to help him with his reading. Within 8 months he was able to reach his green belt. The schedule and locations are very convenient, with lots of options. The instructors are all highly skilled and interested in making sure every child understands the concepts of the moves. I really like that they are very honest with the students. Instead of saying good job to every student they recognize the effort behind learning these new techniques and provide constructive tips about how to improve the next time.
