Town Bar MV

Visited last night. We got in a little late to the hotel and the restaurant is attached so we decided to try the food. Great atmosphere and the servers were nice. I ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder and it was very good! I was so hungry I forgot to get a photo sorry but it was a good size bowl. I'm not from this area and not an expert on chowder but it was good to me. I ordered the Baseball Steak rare. It comes with asparagus and sweet potato fries (more like spears). It was excellent! The asparagus and steak had some type of hollandaise/butter sauce and it was awesome! Good bar crowd for a Sunday

Pictured is the King Island sushi rolls that was recommended by the bar tender. They did not disappoint. Also be sure to try the Finback IPA if it's available 👍

Hi folks, just catching up on my reviews.
9/5/2021, Approximately, 5:45 pm, we came in for an early dinner in the Town Bar. This restaurant appears to be part of the Edgar Hotel.

It was wonderful that we were able to get outside seating.
Here's what we ordered:
Cocktails- Watermelon Sugar High Cocktail was too strong.

Entrees- LOVED the Special Sushi Roll "The Propose" .
IT WAS AMAZING!!!
My friend enjoyed his burger and fries!

Dessert- Key-lime Cake was delicious.

Not real impressed. Pricy. Wings good and although an earlier post with great sushi, it was ver forgettable. Unagi mushy and very small portions on each roll. Lots of batter to the Fish and Chips. We are pretty sure the hockey game was much more interesting for the server than waiting the table.

Great sushi (naruto and red velvet specialty rolls) and watermelon cocktails. Superb friendly service. Restaurant was very clean. A little loud on the road but landscaping is charming. Fun bar scene inside. Waitress Casey was cool and gave us sushi suggestions.

The food was decent but what was nice was taking a break from the Edgartown scene. There was even a bunch of local fishermen boozing it up here.

A fun restaurant great for families and couples. Lots of good cocktails and great beers on tap. The fish tacos, the risotto with scallops, and the burgers are all excellent choices as is their extensive sushi menu. Consistently good year round. The patio is nice in warmer weather. Great job guys!

Food was good but was extremely late. 3 of the 6 people at the table got their food and the other 3 had to wait an hour after for their food to be delivered. I completely understand that the industry is short staffed right now but this is unacceptable. I wrote this review because when we addressed this with the manager rather than apologizing he was extremely short with us letting us know all food was made to order. The managers attitude is what made us write this review. We are laid back and never complain but felt the need to given how bad he spoke to us. Do better.

Portions were small and overpriced. The calamari was bland, small portion, and overpriced (about $19) don’t waste your money on that. The Cajun chicken pasta Alfredo was the best thing we got (well seasoned) and the drinks were good too

One of the best burgers I've ever had!! I got the smash burger and added a fried egg. Not to mention the fries were delicious too

Definitely skip this restaurant and find a nicer place.
The restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere. However, the food was mediocre at best. I had salmon with a Caesar salad. The salmon did not taste fresh, it was oily, and almost bland. It looked to be cooked all the way, thankfully. The Town Mule I had was nothing special. It tasted like mostly margarita mix with a hint of (not spicy)ginger beer and bourbon. Not worth $15. Overall we spent over 130 dollars here and left feeling very disappointed.

Delicious sushi and salad! Our server, Casey, was great. Will definitely be coming back.

We went here recently on a Saturday at 5:30p- was prepared for a long wait but were were able to get a table outside right away. Super prompt and attentive service. Drinks were yummy, calamari was great, sushi was fresh and really well done and my son is still raving about the creamy spicy pasta dish (Cajun??). Have heard horror stories about service on the vineyard this summer but the team here knocked it out of the park. Can't wait to go back!!

Wow, beyond our expectations. Have been here many times but they have really upped their game this summer. Andy, sushi chef is serving up fantastic things. I asked to have no minced fish (scrape) in ours and he was happy to accommodate. It was fantastic. The fish and chips did not disappoint. The bang bang shrimp, which I had as my main was very good as well. We left full and happy. Good cocktails as well.

We got calamari to share for the table and it was perfectly cooked and the sauce was super tasty. My sister got the surf and turf and said it was great, and I thought my burger was awesome. Would highly recommend!!

Tavern style restaurant with sushi. Nice outdoor seating for warm summer nights. Short ribs and scallops where both delicious. The fish and chips were very salty, too salty for me.

I want to preface this post by saying I have never left a review before. We are frequent diners and love to support the restaurant industry during these difficult times. This was the second time we went there this weekend as we had a great experience a few nights ago. Tonight was probably one of the worst dining experiences I have had. Our server made it very clear that we were a mere inconvenience to her. It was obvious to the other servers and bar staff as they picked up her slack. Terrible body language on this young lady. This was our first time dining at the Town and it certainly won't be our last. We had the steamed pork dumplings, the Miss Mango Sushi Roll and the King Island sushi roll. All were delicious! The show stopper was my cocktail, the Infernal Sunshine. It was the perfect blend between spicy and fruity. It was one of the best cocktails that I've ever had. He had the Maple Old Fashioned and the Blueberry Smash which he enjoyed. Make sure you visit the Town, you won't be disappointed.

Love this local spot for a good mocktail (their ginger beer is the best), creative sushi rolls, and amazing burgers! Plus love that they are open year round for the island community!

Such an amazingly friendly experience by the whole staff - it's being Covid and there's seemingly a curfew they were awesome and accommodating with my take-out order!!! Will definitely be back while I'm on the island definitely a awesome place to hang, eat and have a drink at a social distance.

The best sushi in the entire northeast! Seriously impressed by the quality of the sushi here. I live in NYC with some of the best sushi restaurants in the world, and this was better. The clam chowder was also fantastic.

Town has a lot of outdoor seating and their indoor seating is spread out enough to be comfortable.

Visited this restaurant on an overnight. The pilot I was flying with had the salmon and deviled egg appetizer. Both were outstanding when I tried it. I personally had the sushi as I am a sushi lover. The dynamic roll was full of flavor in every bite. Highly recommend this roll. I also had a few other rolls which were also very very good. I was treated to fresh bluefin tuna right off the boat, first time they had it. He gave me 2 nigiri and 2 toro nigiri which melted right in your mouth. Nice ambiance and great service! I can vouch personally for the Moscow mules the watermelon and feta salad and the amazing must try honey Sriracha chicken wings or tenders. Nice chill vibe in the vineyard without being too stuffy.

This place has amazing Sushi, the sushi appetizers are outstanding, they also have platters for take out, perfect for beach day.

Nice outdoor sections with lots of seating. Seems like more of a sports bar inside, but the outside made for a very nice location for brunch. The road is right there but it’s good people watching.
Food was not bad, nothing exceptional but at the same time nothing was off. Basic brunch egg options, salads, and sandwiches. Service was good.

Mother's day brunch. We usually dine at Lola's each year. They went out of business. We like the buffet style for brunch. I saw mention of Town having that.
Called for a reservation. Mike guided me to that.
Easy parking. Walked in the door. Great decorations. Clean and stylish. They even have a pancake machine.
The buffet was a bit small but had more than enough to fill our plates. Our table was a bit wobbly.
The service was great. Its new. Room for improvement. I look forward to our next visit.
