Highly recommend this place never lets you down. Splendid taste and some of the best seafood and creole food in la! I have something different from here every time I come and it's absolutely spectacular and
Rich in taste! Parking is usually available right outside and they usually always have a line of people waiting for their food! It takes a long time to come out too, they make it fresh! It's not fast foos for sure!

Mainly take out. Casual indoor dining for about 8 people at a time due to social distancing. Outdoor dining is also available.

Gumbo was a large portion. Great flavor and loaded with seafood. Gravy/juice is a little thinner that I like. Red beans & rice and catfish were delicious ious. Macaroni & Cheese was good but room temperature. Plenty of pasta and the sauce on top was yummy. Waaay too much to eat at one sitting. Scampi was not like any I've had before. Not bad as were the greens. French bread was fresh and crispy. Young female server was excellent!

Visiting LA and needed some soul food for my soul. We hit Stevie's up. The service was great they were limited seating due to covid. We ordered the Arnold Palmer which came out fine. They gave use the corn bread and peach butter to accompany them, I found the cornbread a little dry also I'm not a huge fan of fruit in everything I eat. I just picked through the butter and dabbed it on my cornbread and had a mouth full of Arnold.
I ordered the fried gizzards, yes they had flavor but they were over cooked to me, I rather mines juicier.
We also a order the wings that have a peach

The food here is amazing! Every thing I have eaten from this place has been absolutely delicious! The portion sizes are great and the food is so flavorful defiantly one of my favorite spots in LA. A little pricy but worth it in my opinion. I never leave hungry or unsatisfied. If you’re looking for some good Louisiana Creole food this is a great choice. I can’t say what particular meal you should get because they are all pretty good, but Give the Banana nut cornbread a try I was skeptical at first but it’s actually extremely good paired with their butter.

Man!!! I was quite surprised. Gave me more food than I could eat (but I ate it anyways). Stevie's is pulling magic out of their hat with this one. I had the Catfish Creole (To go). Wish I had eaten it there it would have been better presented. But it was still just good in a to go box. The sweet potatoes were perfect. Just sweet enough but not sugary tasting. Hard to do. I will be back to this small little eatery

Banana pudding was good. Hot link never ever get that there it was disgusting. Fried pickle was a good anount

Straight to the point -- go here! Hands down the best seafood gumbo, period. I was craving gumbo and an internet search led me to Stevie's. This joint is legit. Family run. Grandma's gumbo recipe. It was amazing. The small bowl is more than generous in size. Full of shrimp, crab, chicken and sausage. If you like gumbo (who doesn't) this is the place. Great vibe here with Morgan the granddaughter providing fantastic service. Save some room for the peach cobbler!

Updating my review. Today they lost me as a regular customer. I usually order through postmates and i always use the same instructions, basically nothing hot in my food because i share my food with my toddler. Specifically they put hot peppers and pickles as a garnish and i asked not to have put into my food. Not only are there peppers in there, they put them in my rice and gravy and mixed it into the rice. You don't play with people food like that because you have a chip on your shoulder people have reasons why they don't want certain stuff in their food that they are paying for

Delicious! A little on the saltier side but I'm not a fan of salty foods anyways. Food was very rich and heavy so no need to order too much. Fried crab legs were awesome. Creole pasta was also yummy! Cornbread was ok (falls apart easily), wings were good but didn't care for the rice n gravy since I never usually like gravy, and shrimp n grits were tasty but is a heavy dish which made me full faster. Overall, I would definitely come back!

The meaty seafood gumbo, loved the idea the crab was cracked for easy access to the meat. Real sausage not sure if they were beef or pork who cares honey I slurped and chewed. The roux was a little lite for me , but it was flavorful, ease up on the black pepper just a little. Fried shrimp were fried just right the batter was light. The peach cobbler was delicious , but I just like my crust a little moist , they baked the moist out but it was good besides that small imperfection. Take out and curb side dining available.

The food is delicious! I always get the seafood pasta and my partner always gets the veggie gumbo, the only other place she can find good veggie combo is in New Orleans! Definitely recommend this place to all!

Long line at Stevie's Créole Café full of Black customers which gives a good indication of "authenticity" & just plain good eatin'.

So unfortunate that indoor seating, that would create a mood, an ambiance reflecting its Louisiana rooted Créole service, is impossible during the Pandemic in early 2021 where only take out is possible.

1)  Gumbo may be the French Créole answer to echos of Bouillabaise, the seafood stew of Southern France. After all, France is the mother cuisine to all Créole cuisine around the world. As for La Cuisine Louisiane Française, there are

The gumbo was delicious, and I’m from the South where we have the best gumbo. The catfish nuggets were bomb. Only giving it 4 stars cause I was disappointed in the cornbread. I’ll definitely be coming back!

It was a great day in LA for Creole, and Stevie's is a good place to hit. I was disappointed to find they're only doing outdoor dining, but given the climate of the city, I understand.

Met up with family, and we ordered some Po'Boys and the Fried Chicken with Rice and Gravy.

The Shrimp Po'Boy was made perfectly, with a lot of shrimp that had so much flavor! Their house sauce had the perfect kick to add a little spice. A nice serving of fries comes with it, and the combination was just what I needed.

The Fried Chicken plate was good. Perfectly fried, could've used

Although I got it delivered cold via postmates, the food was smackin. Good gravy, fire cobbler, and the gumbo was doing numbers. Still a 5 star, I’ll dine in next time tho.

So, so good!
Even just a spoonful of the grits without any shrimp in it was buttery heaven. The fried pickles have the fried chicken type batter and spicy ranch for dipping so they are not too heavy, soggy, or bready. The greens were delicious on their own but I mixed them into the grits and do not regret it.
Not pictured: massive barbeque ribs and red beans and rice. The portion was huge and the smoky-sweet smell of the ribs turned heads when they came out. I didn't have any of the meat but the sauce is a great mix of savory and sweetness and generously applied.

Please read this review cause it's important:
This food is SOOO good! Probably one of the best Creole/Soul food places out here, in my humblest opinion. However, this place is ALWAYS booked up. It's honestly insane how long the waits are. We ordered in person and it was still an hour wait so we just went home and came back. They also have a lot of issues with missing or not remembering orders so I'm glad we went in person vs. on the phone or an online order. I always went on Juneteenth, which made it worse but there's always a line every time I pass by. Super popular. I love

I have been here twice and i am not a gumbo or peach cobbler fan. I had them both twice and i now can appreciate both dishes. I tried tried the Catfish nuggets and Jamaican patties...loved the patties and i only liked the Catfish. They are busy so call your order in and give yourself 30 minutes from call to pick up

First time trying Stevie's Creole Café and they were on spot. I ordered the red beans & rice, along with peace cobbler for dessert. Due to this being my first visit, I ordered small to test the food out, but quickly decided, I'll be back for more..
Service was great, hostess offered to answer any questions about the menu and food had flavor.
I love authentic creole/southern cuisine and this place didn't disappoint.
Thank you!

I started this review in 2017 and never go to finish. Now it is 2021 and still in the pandemic so in a way, I got reintroduced to Stevie's again.

I have ordered their cornbread, gumbo and fried chicken and let me tell you, it is DELICIOUS! Make sure you do yourself a solid and order a large container of their gumbo. It's a generous portion, packed with crab, shrimp, chicken and sausage. It's so flavorful, especially when you eat it the next day and all the flavor intensifies.

Recently, I ordered the fried catfish lunch special with collard greens and mac and cheese. It was so tasty

WOW ! That's the best word I can think of to describe this place but I still don't think that that gives an accurate description. I've been wanting to check this place out for a while and Lucky me I happen to be leaving LAX with an appetite.

I placed my order ahead using the Yelp app and my food was ready for me to pick up when I got there, I would like to recommend you all to do the same, as the wait times can be up to an hour and there is not currently any indoor waiting. But let me tell you it food is well worth the wait!

My friend and I got the creole pasta but I cannot wait

I'm a real picky eater, so when I say this place is GREAT, it's WONDERFUL!! I've only had one dish that I wasn't too thrilled with and that was the Cajun Pasta, but everything else is sooooo good! I normally order delivery, but even when I go pick it up, by the time I get home, the smoked fried chicken is still crunchy! Gumbo is superb. Short ribs are tender. The mac & cheese is not just noodles and cheese! 🤪 Oh and the peach butter... 🤤🤤🤤 I can't wait to actually sit in the restaurant and enjoy my food when the world reopens! You won't be disappointed here!
