It's good the food. gets cooked in front of the customer. Problem is no Restaurant.

Best in class for inexpensive Chinese takeaway. Highly recommend their aubergine, mapo tofu and green bean dishes which are comparable with restaurants. Super quick and friendly service.

Always like Double Happy. Been coming for years and food is pretty much always on point. Cash only is a bit frustrating for this day n age....

Best Chinese food in the area. Very good and friendly staff and very fast service. They do only takeaways so don’t expect to sit inside and also prepare yourself some cash as they accept digital payment methods. I also have good feedback from ordering online from them, most definitely recommend!!!

Had the combo lo mein pretty good, lunch specials are priced high, other places are a better value.

Been going here for my cheat days. Really tasty classic Cantonese food. All your favourites on the menu. Everything is good. Massive portions. Like the prawn chow mein is enough for 2 ppl. Love the large spring rolls x2 per portion. Original style of cooking. Fresh ingredients. Open kitchen. Takeaway and cash only. You can watch the chefs cook your dishes. Free prawn crackers on orders over £10. Try the aubergine and mince pork gravy dish with rice. Sooooo good. Crispy chilli beef too! Gonna go there on Friday. Haha

Sweet & Sour Chicken Hong Kong style is always delicious. The King Prawns from here alone is worth a visit!

Food quality is really questionable! The duck is spongy, even showing some irregular orange colors partially on the flesh, while the skin is like wet paper white. Not sure how long this has been refrigerated and whether it is safe to eat at all!
The current 4.2 rating is definitely very questionable as well!

The PHO IS AMAZING. And the pad Thai is PACKED with deliciousness. The tarp boba is also fun to drink given it's bright purple color. I've come here twice (am about to order again) and have loved the food time and time again. I highly recommend. Also, it's a small family owned business, what's not to love?

Terrific Chinese food restaurant! We've ordered take out a few times during COVID and have been very impressed with the quality of the food. Good prices too.

The worst meal I've ever had. It took 11/2 hours to get here. Everything was either dry or if fried soggy. $130. Including tip. I wouldn't even give one star.

I love this place. There's been a Chinese take-away at this site for the 22 years I've lived in the area. This one is the best. Typical 'British Chinese' menu, decent portions, well prepared. Neither cheap nor over-priced. If you live nearby, don't wait for delivery - go pick the order up yourself, it's usually ready to go in 15 minutes!
What are these reviews badmouthing Double Happy's customer service? Surely EVERY Chinese takeaway has a grumpy woman who can't speak English on the phone. All part of the experience.
I wouldn't order Chinese from anywhere else...

I just finished a late pottery class in the neighborhood and drove by double happy at 10:00 pm. Very hungry not sure what time they were closing, I thought I would check it out. They were closed at 9:30 pm but the sweet owner told me I could do take you. 10:05 pm I had hot pho with fresh veggies & fried tofu. Soup and service was great!!! Thank you for taking care.

Excellent Pho and really great food and authentic old-chinese-restaurant vibe.

Hubs & I stopped in for a super fast lunch today. We were greeted by a very nice young man who seated us quickly and assured us he'd get the orders in as fast as possible. I had explained we had an appointment in half an hour. Hubs ordered chicken egg foo young lunch with wonton soup and an egg roll. The broth of the soup was very good as was the wonton. Yes only one wonton but it was a small bowl. I ordered chicken dumplings to share and rare steak pho to go as well as a taro boba. The dumplings were fresh, hot and bland as was the dipping sauce. We really enjoy their food and friendly service. We love the dumplings and wonton soup and love the moo shu chicken- it's delicious. Love the free delivery and always tip a few dollars

My favorite Chinese in this area. The owner (and family) is really friendly! It's quite. Very peaceful, haha. You'll see what I mean when you get there. You may not get someone coming by to check on you very often... well, you definitely won't but it's part of the charm .

Hit or miss. I've had great food here and not so good. I've noticed that dine-in tends to be much better than delivery. That's a shame being that I usually want delivery when I'm in the mood for chinese...

We've eaten here a few times in the past six months.. I like it.. Excellent food, no-nonsense service.. We haven't tried much of the menu yet as we are vegetarian.. We must invite a meat eater along next time to get an opinion about meat dishes served here.. Love their boba drinks and vegetarian entrees. Will add more as soon as we get in for lunch or dinner with my son.

This review is for Double Happy's Boba: My husband and I stopped at Double Happy yesterday afternoon for a "quick" treat, and chose to go with the Taro and Milk Tea Boba options. Our expectations were not super high because since moving to this area, the ethnic food (in general) has not been super impressive. BUT WOW, that first sip was such a pleasant surprise of deliciousness and perfect Boba texture!!!! Highly recommend Double Happy Boba for your next Boba craving! =)

I had a terrible experience with delivery from Double Happy. I urge those who may be deciding whether to order from here to chose another place, perhaps Saigon Dragon just off of 136th and Huron.

My order was placed at 5:47pm on a Friday, starting with my asking if they deliver to my address. They do, they said, to which I proceeded with my order for three adults and a child. The call lasted three minutes, with a total twice of what I expected ($80), and a promise of food delivered in "about an hour."
After 90 minutes of waiting, I called to ask about my order. They asked my address

I love the addition of the Boba tea! Food still wonderful, just delivery time still about an hour. Faster delivery at other places, but none with Boba!

Absolutely wonderful!!! Quiet at lunch... exceptional pho! Lovely service... fresh... delicious... I recommend getting the taì chin. The only thing I would change would be a smaller size offering for the pho. It was just too much food for me.

This restaurant is horrible when they were making my fried rice they must have unscrewed the cap on the salt because I legit drank four glasses of water.

There are definitely more gourmet Chinese restaurants around, but for huge servings of all the American-Chinese classics, Double Happy does it very well, and it is a thoroughly family-run place. The owners being Vietnamese, the pho is also great and offered in a wide variety.

I typically get take-out, which is smooth thanks to their own parking lot behind the building. On the other hand, eating in tends to be a slow experience, and delivery can take much longer than the time estimate given.
