Ankle sprains are caused by an unnatural twisting or force on the ankle bones of the foot, often resulting in one or more ligaments on the outside of the ankle to be stretched or torn. If not properly treated, ankle sprains could develop into long-term problems. Bunions are misaligned big toe joints that can become swollen and tender, causing the first joint of the big toe to slant outward, and the second joint to angle toward the other toes.

Dr. Vetter is outstanding! I was referred to him by my primary care doctor who has never steered me wrong when it comes to referrals. I had a broken bone in my foot and was very anxious, thinking I would have to wear a cast. After doing X-rays of my foot, Dr. Vetter assured me that I didn't need a cast or surgery and put me in a boot. He followed me regularly throughout the healing process. Dr. Vetter is very patient and compassionate. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. He has a calming demeanor and sense of humor which helped tremendously. I have complete confidence

I went to the ER in Fairfax because I got a piece of glass in my foot. They suggested I get a follow-up appointment with Oakton Foot and Ankle Center. The folks at Oakton set an appointment for me the next day. What I value the most about the Oakton team is their phenomenal customer service. I could not walk to their office without a lot of pain due to my injury. Their front desk person was kind enough to come to the lobby with a wheelchair to help me. She is really stellar, very competent and friendly. Their tech also has a great and helpful demeanor. I have seen Dr. Jugal Dharia for my injury

Dr. Vetter and team are extraordinary - literally, extra-ordinary - going beyond what most healthcare providers are willing to do because of insurance bureaucracy. They truly care and do all they can to restore your health, not just standard insurance protocol. Today, this type of patient care is RARE.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Vetter for many years, and will be for many more. I’ve been seeing him for various toe and foot issues which have gotten better. I’ve even referred several friends who are now patients of his. He knows his craft and is very good at it! The entire staff is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Great service every time!

This team is top notch. As you know, the front desk staff at any office can make or break your experience. My first touch point was with Tanya- she was so patient and kind from the first phone call, that it made me feel completely comfortable and confident that this team would take good care of me. The office manager offered great suggestions for me to look into with my insurance (in terms of in-home help) that I hadn’t thought about! Dr. Vetter is so patient and answered all of my questions, and I didn’t feel silly asking a single one. Dr. Dharia is also very knowledgeable and reassuring.

Dr. Dharia and his staff took excellent care of my close friend when he was injured. Dr. Dharia was great in taking care of his foot during the process, and his staff Tanya and one other made the office a very comfortable and welcoming place for us when we were there. Definitely would recommend visiting them for podiatry needs.

These doctors are literal life savers and foot savers. We rushed to the ER one night, as my husband was going through excruciating pain in his foot. He stepped on a piece of metal in the carpet. When he lifted his foot, it looked like a staple. We cleaned the wound and thought it was fine. 3 days later, he was in so much pain, we had to go to the ER. They did an X-ray and saw that there was a sewing needle going parallel with his foot. We were rushed to the ER operating room. He was preparing for surgery, while he hospital podiatrist came in. The podiatrist said it was not an emergency and he could

I fractured my sesamoid over the weekend and today I couldn't take the pain anymore. I called Oakton Foot and Ankle and was somehow lucky enough to get a same day appointment. Every person I spoke with or saw there - Tanya, Mario, and Dr. Dharia - was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend this practice for all your foot and ankle needs!

My wife went here to check out a fractured toe. They took some x-rays and gave her a shoe. She paid a $40 copay for this. Then, we get a bill in the mail for another $51.48. I understand maybe this is how it works, but it would have been nice to communicate that there would be additional costs in addition to the copay. It just doesn't feel right paying $40 for a visit then getting billed an additional $50+. The lady was very nice, but I think they need to improve their communication about additional costs.

Have been going there for 14 or 15 years. I started seeing Dr. Vener when the office was still in Oakton. His staff is always friendly, it is easy to make or change an appointment. Dr. Vener spends as much time with me as I need. He is efficient but not rushed. Although I have moved to Loudoun County and it is a long drive now for me, I continue to go to him because I appreciate the good and professional treatment I have had over the years.

Not a fan. We made an appt for my husband and when we got there, the doctors cellphone rang twice and he had the nerve to pick it up. I would've been fine with it if it was medical related but his phone call was about some sort of appraisal. It was completely unprofessional for him to pick up personal calls during an appt, there is voicemail for a reason. The only good thing I saw from here was the receptionist. She was an absolute sweetheart!
