If you are looking for Podiatry in Fairfax, VA, trust your care to a practice built on experience, compassion, and advanced technology. At Fair Oaks Podiatry and Sports Medicine, we believe that, "Your Feet are the Foundation to Healthy Living." We take hundreds of steps per day; thousands of steps per week, and tens of thousands of steps per year.
We are constantly on the move, whether it be at school, on the job, or during leisure and/or organized sports. If foot and ankle pain is experienced, then this is a sign of podiatric unrest. If foot and ankle pain is left unattended, then it can create an imbalance to lower extremity that can cause other areas of the body to develop discomfort such as knees, hips, and lower back.

When I first met him, I was at my darkest hour. I had a blood clot that had busted and left a hole in my ankle the size of 2 silver dollars. Fortunately for me the infection had not reached down to the bone. Dr. Shabazz was confident that he could fix it with skin grafts (cadaver) instead of using my skin. He instructed no one to touch it for 48 hours and for me to stay off my feet but I could get up if I could stand to put any weight bearing on it. I did exactly as instructed and by Monday I was able to put weight on my ankle. We took pictures. The would looked excellent compared to what it was

I was very pleased with both the staff and Dr. Shabazz. Dr. Shabazz is a very knowledgeable and kind doctor. I went to several doctors before him and he is the only one that quickly and correctly diagnosed me and came up with a solution that both of us were happy with. His nurses are also very friendly and accommodating.

The staff is very kind and professional. Everyone made sure all my paperwork was complete prior to my surgery and that their would be no hiccups. Dr. Shabazz was thorough in explaining everything that would happen, even down to actually drawing on my ankle where the incision would be. The entire office operates in sync making the patient experience smooth and stress free. In the very sad event (because no one wants to be injured) you have any ankle or foot issues or need surgery you CAN and SHOULD trust Dr. Shabazz and Fair Oaks Podiatry.

My doctor’s visit with Dr. Zakee Shabazz was my second appt.with him and his staff in well over 2 years. Unsurprisingly, and as anticipated,it went very well! Following completion of the customary paperwork to update my records, we(my daughter and I) were called to be seen by Dr. Shabazz. Dr. Shabazz’s asst. inquired about my reasons for the visit, and after my daughter and I provided her with a brief description of ‘the Why’, I expressed my concerns about my feet and the horrible condition they were in! She assured us that there was no need to be concerned. “Dr.Shabazz is used to this”’
