A tooth consists of two main sections: the crown and the root. The crown of a tooth is the part of the tooth that is visible inside the mouth. The crown can be found above the gum line on the lower teeth and below the gum line on the upper teeth. The root of the tooth is less exposed; it is covered by the gums and bone (in healthy teeth).
A deep cleaning is a specific treatment done to clean between the gums and teeth and down to the roots, in order to treat severe gum disease known as periodontitis. Having a deep cleaning done is more meticulous and thorough than a normal dental cleaning. Gum disease occurs when there is an access of plague and bacteria on your teeth and gums, which can cause the gums to become inflamed and swollen.
When a tooth, or teeth, have become so damaged due to decay, periodontal disease, or injury, a dental implant is most often used to remedy the problem. A dental implant is small titanium post that is surgically placed in the jawbone that fuses with your natural bone to act as an artificial tooth root.

Love! I hate the dentist. I have so much anxiety going in. But I haven’t gone to the dentist in over 4 years so I figured I should go and get it over with. The staff was so nice! I started crying just getting my x-rays done and they were so sweet and understanding. They gave me extra numbing for everything and got all the work I needed done in one day. My smile looks beautiful after just one visit! I’ll be going back in 6 months for a cleaning and although I’m not excited to go, I’m not nervous with is a huge deal for me. Thank you so much guys!

Me and my family absolutely love this place!! Couldn’t find a more patient and gentle dentist. They have even done a filling on my 3 year old granddaughter. Nothing about her visit was scary for her. She still asks to go back to get her sugar bugs out. 100% hands down the beat dentist I’ve ever been to!

I drive from Murrieta (1.5 hrs) to see Dr. Arthur Santos. Both my teenager and I love his service. Both of us will continue with our treatment with him. Their staff is friendly and will communicate with you during the entire procedure. Love the fact we can come in on Saturdays and are available until late in the weekdays. The most i had to wait was about 20 minutes and that was because I was early to my appointment. Like any other medical dental app I was prepared to wait longer but they are pretty much on time or at least they try to. I highly recommend Dr. Arthur Santos for your dental needs
