Our 'Backyard Beers For A Cause' program is a way for the Backyard Tap House to help our local community that supports us on a daily basis. BBFAC is a collaborative way to help one another, get the word out about causes, have fun, and raise some money together. We partner with local non-profit organizations and causes to give them a place to meet up, get information out to people, and raise some money.

This is a great local place to grab a drink and some good food. The place is decorated in the typical Montana style which I personally love. They definitely paid attention to detail when designing the inside of the restaurant. It has a very casual atmosphere and you seat yourself upon entering. Menus are on each table and when you are ready to order you order up at the counter. Each table has a number on it and your food and drinks are brought out to your table when ready.
The food is pretty good, and my only complaint is that the portion sizes are on the smaller side for the price you pay. The

Absolutely phenomenal service and food once again. Love the effort this staff is putting forth taking on all duties within the business. Some people may think they have slowed down their service, but the reality is people still want to stay home and collect taxpayer dollars so they have had the hardest time finding legit kitchen staff. Keep up the great work Chris, Tess and the whole crew. We are patient and understand the hardship the whole socialized money has caused you. Anyone out there needing a job with kitchen experience hit them up.

Stopped in for dinner and a beer. They serve good beer and the food was pretty good. The service is very friendly and attentive but ordering food and first round is handled at the bar, not table service. I expect this service practice at small breweries but a bar and full service restaurant I would expect to have more table service. Also, the acoustics are not good. It was too loud for us to sit inside and converse so we ended up sitting outside when we would have preferred the air conditioning.

Starting with the positive....
The food was really good and the decor inside was very nice and clean!
The negatives.... I'm not a fan of seating myself and then having to go to the counter/bar area to order. The food was brought out to us in a timely fashion however no one ever checked to see if we needed anything or how the food was... never offered a refill on drinks (again had to go up to the counter). The staff was not overly friendly. Just kind of blah service.
If they actually had wait staff that took your orders at the table and appeared to care about your experience I would have left

Great atmosphere, friendly tender, good food. I personally liked ordering my food from the counter and not waited on like normal. It gave me time to select my beer from the long list of excellent IPA's and what I thought would complement it from the menu. The place was very tidy with tasteful decor, from the Nickel vein chairs to the copper patina menus everything was well thought out. Hats off to you and the best of luck. I look forward to visiting again when Im in town.

Went there with my honey last week. The ambience was great, food was fantastic and drinks were perfect. We were both disappointed it took no less than 55 minutes to receive our dinner order which was only a burger and nachos. Our waitress apologized but in my experience, when it takes that long there should be a free round of drinks offered or maybe a percentage off the bill. That didn't happen. We'll come back but maybe we'll plan on a three hour outing just to be safe.

Ok, the choices in the area are limited, but even if there were 50 other restaurants nearby, I would still come back to Backyard Tap Room!
The service is amazingly friendly and the food and beer selection is great. We had the nachos with steak - very good and steak was tender and flavorful. The mac & cheese scoops and sprouts were really tasty and the burgers were outstanding. I had the Smash Burger and the beef was the star here - cooked perfectly and really tasty.
If you're anywhere near Florence and hungry, this is the place to go - 5 stars all the way!!!

I really like this place, the place that was there before was awful. They have very good food and a very good beer selection. I highly recommend this place. You seat yourself and order at the counter. Last time there I had the special burger and their delicious potatoes, my other half had a nachos with steak she is very glad she got the small, it's a good meal.i do go 2-3 times a week.
