Group Therapy is a form of psychotherapy during which one or several therapists treat a small group of clients together as a group. This may be more cost effective than individual therapy, and possibly even more effective. What I got out of group therapy: I was treated with respect, listened to, not judged.
Individual Therapy is a form of psychotherapy where the client is treated as an individual. Psychotherapy is a set of techniques intended to improve mental health, emotional or behavioral issues of individuals, family members or a whole family's interactional climate. Mental health problems can have psychological, social and somatic dimensions.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I'd look for a different practice. There are plenty of good practices around here. Unfortunately this isn't one of them. I wasn't even able to get past the front desk to schedule appointments for my husband and I. I was told we couldn't both schedule appointments and that only one of us would be seen for the first handful of sessions. Alright, fair enough. The only reason I even decided to type this review is after I asked the front desk "Why?" could only one of us be seen she didn't have an answer other than... "company policy".... "Ok, if he were to call in as a patient and

The therapists and psychiatrists are fine but the office managers are atrocious. If you want to be told your money is no good if you don't pay a bill in full immediately and treated like garbage then by all means use them. But be expected to be treated as a dollar sigh and not a person. And trust me when I say they do NOT care about health issues, pandemics, or lowered hours due to COVID. It's too bad because the people that actually treat you are lovely, but good luck getting to them.

2006 was the worst time for me.and my daughter. We had been in domestic violence with her bio father. The therapist here sided with him!! I was without words. I'm far from victim and have recovered as well as my daughter. Just posting this because I see they are still in business and others need to know to stay away from this place.

What a joke. It should not be this hard to make a new patient appointment. I strongly suggest seeing bas ou cally anyone that isn't Dr. Christine Truman. As a doctor who treats people with postpartum anxiety you would think their office would be more sensitive. It took all I had in me to call and make an appointment only to get the run around. Even after my pcp called in a referral, they still gave me problems. She came highly recommended and I wasted a week of trying to make an appointment with what I was told was the best doctor in the area when I could gave found someone who would actually

This place is a joke. I read some of these reviews before scheduling my appointment and I should’ve went with my gut instinct and called another practice. My daughter had a therapy appointment with one of the therapist as a process to get her to the right doctor for her ADHD. After meeting with the therapist we were told the psychiatrist Dr. Roberto would be contacting us to schedule an appointment three weeks later never received a call to schedule an appointment with us and I’ve made three calls to the office and they tell me I need to schedule more therapy appointments before the psychiatrist

I've been with this practice for over 5yrs. The staff is so friendly & helpful in so many ways. My therapist is honestly my rock. My therapist has helped me get through so much over these years and wish I had the words to express my appreciation for her and all that she does. I'd refer anyone to them!!! Thank you so much for all of your support and guidance you give me and so many others. Dr. Zimmerman and Dr. Roberto you guys are the best!!!!

I am student of psychology at ODU trying to interview someone in the office about how they do things as it is a requirement for my senior year. The lady in the office was incredibly rude and said no one would take the time out of their day to do that! Then hung up in my face and I was just mind blown. Many of these psychotherapist and doctors had to do what I am doing to get where they are at, but of course they must have forgot! The thing that made me was the lady that answered was so rude!

There is one super nice receptionist and one receptionist that is a HUGE B*TCH.
A couple months ago I had a change in prescription and told the receptionist. She began explaining that this may cause a change in my billing and was really long winded about it. I asked her, can you just take my insurance change and let me worry about the other things later? The bih looked at me, slammed the glass window shut, and grabbed her supervisor who treated me just as coldly. Frustrated, I just kind of tossed my card down. The supervisor loudly insisted I not attack her. EVERYONE in the reception area was

A member of the office staff named Matt called me to reschedule an appointment. When I asked for conformation to be mailed to me he chuckled and said "We don't do that." He then proceeded to act like he asked a coworker for conformation. He even went so far as to suggest that I call back when I am ready to write it down. This is not the first time I have experienced such bullying tactics and a total lack of respect for the patients. Customer service is greatly lacking in the norfolk office and va beach is not that far behind.

I have been taking my son to Finney Zimmerman for about a year. The primary need is for med management. As many are aware, it is a difficult issue nation wide to secure med management given the tremendous demand. Making a change would be welcomed but it is difficult and can sometimes leave the patient (my son) without meds.
The doctor (psychiatrist) who administers medication on one occasion canceled my son's appointment and went out of town on what was said to be an emergency. The staff told us that when this happens the doctor has an arrangement with another doctor to fill prescriptions

Clayton Macguire - Went to this "Steve Buscemi" look-alike. The guy personally canceled my psychiatrist appointment because I didn't reschedule with him every 2 weeks (I scheduled psychiatrist out a month in advance). He didn't call or email. He took the time to type a letter that stated I was canceled and would have to reschedule after I scheduled with him. I don't feel he has the patient's best interest in mind and a letter without contacting the patient before canceling was poor bedside manner. Who does that?

If you love your family members, do not let them go to this office!!!!
A member of their office staff crossed an ethical line with my family member. I wish I could say more, but I don't believe this will be posted if I do. When I tried to file a formal complaint, I was met with rudeness and they refused to speak to me or acknowledge the employee's wrong doing. I told them I had irrefutable evidence of the misconduct, but the office manager refused to speak to me about it and said I had no right to complain. That's when I found out they mysteriously lost the paperwork we filled out
