Coastal Psychiatry was designed and constructed by Ryan W. Ingram, M.D. with the goal of offering patient-centered psychotherapy and medication management to residents of Virginia Beach and neighboring cities. Privacy and comfort were the top priorities during the development, which is evident as you move from the breezeway entrance to the waiting room, to the spacious treatment room and then leave through a separate exit.
Services
Telepsychiatry sessions are available for established patients in selective circumstances. Expert psychiatric opinion for civil litigation and Workers' Compensation cases can be arranged through the attorney or agency involved. Expected Length of Treatment: This varies from biweekly or weekly psychotherapy to combined psychotherapy and medication management sessions every 1-3 months.
Dr. Ingram is not accepting new patients at this time. All established patients are seen for psychotherapy which requires a significant time commitment. This means ensuring that we reserve sufficient space for follow-up sessions. It is therefore unknown when Dr. Ingram will be able to accept new patients.

Really needed a new psychiatrist to continue my medication as my doctor has retired. Was recommended to this place by my old doctor and several of my customers, rear alot of reviews and reports and was very pleased. To call them and listen to their message that they are not taking any new patients and will not return any phone calls or messages regarding new patients, very off putting. Not good

Could not be more thrilled that I found Dr. Ingram nearly four months ago! He receives my highest recommendation (for whatever that's worth) and I would urge anyone that is looking for an extremely knowledgeable and personable psychiatrist to at least give Dr. Ingram a call.
To be candid: I'm a middle aged guy who, like most Americans, has been through the ups and downs of everyday life. I don't want to get specific to my personal reason (let's be honest, reasons) for seeing Dr. Ingram, everyone is so different so it wouldn't quite be apples to apples anyway, but I can tell you that this doctor
