Front office staff is rude and short, especially Melinda, who answers the phones. They have no compassion and need to learn how to treat people, and sick people at that. The office manager needs to rethink their choice of employees. We love Dr.Kumar and have been seeing him for years, but dread dealing with office staff.

I was prescribed a medication that’s for depression when I only have anxiety... I went crazy and now suffer from panic attacks.,
Kumar dropped me from his care because he said he’s the boss! That if I want to be the doctor go right ahead. When all I was trying to say was how this medication changed me.

He made me feel like it was my fault and I didn’t know what I was talking about .. when I’m the one that suffered horrible changes in mood and panic and fear for 2 weeks

Update May 2018. Do not go to this office, Dr. Sanya Kumar, is not that good of a doctor as other comments indicate he is. I understand ever case is different and every patients that goes there has a different experiences. In my case Dr. Sanya Kumar,fail to treat me properly and did not complied with the insurance company to get an appeal approved for an MRI. To make matters worst he's staff and nurse is in a disarray, a total mess, their problem is that they are ignoring calls from patients, not calling patients back. They blame the doctor and when this happens you really get to see the whole

Dr. Kumar is a compassionate doctor who really listens to his patients and provides a caring professional assessment. He is able to explain in layman terms diagnosis, medications/benefits, treatment plan, and self monitoring client needs to do. I would not have any reservations in referring others to him. An A+ doctor.

I served in the US Air Force and US Department of Justice thirty two years. So I am very happy to be a patient of a Honest and Ethical Doctor. I just wanted to take this opportunity to Thank Dr. Sanjay Kumar. He has gone above and beyond to help me with my medical issues from day one. He has basically saved my life. He has also explained things that are hard to hear but must be said to change my diet and life style. I am a very difficult patient with multiple medical issues. It’s very difficult to change. Ive had ups and downs but Dr. Kumar never gives up

Dr Kumar is the best caring Physician I have ever seen in San Antonio Texas. He has experience, listens to patient complaints ,diagnose the condition by ordering and performing tests. Dr.Kumar has been treating me since past 4+ years. He is a detail oriented, good listener, pleasant and uses most recent knowledge and tools to treat my ailments. He does n`t write unnecessary diagnostic tests. Even though he is a busy Physician,I am very happy the way he treats me and my ailments. Undoubtedly, Dr.Kumar is a topnotch internal medicine Specialist.

Dr. Kumar is quick with his ability to diagnose the problem - gets me what I need when I need it and has a pleasant bed side manner. He doesn't mess around. I also agree, the centralization MedFirst has opted for with their incoming patient calls is horrible and hard to get a hold of the location you are needing to speak with but that is not a reflection on the service this doctor or his immediate staff provides. More a bureaucracy or administration... as most large administrative bodies tend to be, separating the product (service) from the customer (people). Remind you of anything?
