Sattvic Space
Yoga is a philosophy of life, it has the potential to create a vibrantly healthy body and mind. We offer a variety of classes from beginner to expert. Whether you want to improve your physical and mental health with an Ayurvedic yoga class, or release the stress of the day in a Life Force yoga class, there's something for everyone at Sattvic Space.

Ayurveda is a science of self-healing through nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, meditation, breathing, medicinal herbs, bodywork and periodic cleansing (detoxification) and rejuvenation. It is the art of daily living in harmony with the laws of nature. William is trained in Gestalt therapy, psychodrama and healing the inner child.
Services
Sattvic Space was created for the community, by the community. Countless volunteers from Portsmouth and our surrounding cities came together donating time, talents and funds to make this space possible. The studio started as a vision, it would not have come to fruition without the selfless donation and encouragement of people just like you.
This class provides an opportunity to stretch, unwind, and release tension, providing a good counterpoint to both busy lifestyles and cardio workouts. There is an emphasize on different yoga postures and breathing exercises (pranayama), slower paced and less vigorous than Vinyasa.

An uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices, Kundalini Yoga incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the chanting of mantras, such as Sat Nam, meaning "truth is my identity."The goal is to build physical vitality and increase consciousness. Sessions will begin with meditation and breath-work before moving in to a slow-flowing class focused on alignment and increasing body awareness.
A holistic mind, body and spirit approach to health, Ayurveda is India's traditional system of medicine, and is believed to be around 5,000 year old. It is considered to be the longest continuously practiced system of medicine in the world. Ayurveda is a science of self-healing through nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, meditation, breathing, medicinal herbs, and periodic cleansing (detoxification) and rejuvenation.
Since 2014, Sattvic Space has relied on the spirit of selfless service (SEVA) to enhance its day-to-day operations and to nurture and support the growth of its mission. The Sattvic SEVA Volunteer Program is an opportunity to be part of a vibrant community with like-minded people of all ages and backgrounds.

We went here for the 1st time approximately 2 weeks ago for a sound bath meditation lead by Brien. I have never stepped out of my comfort zone and was a bit nervous. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in. I was given a tour of the place. It is beyond amazing what they are doing here and for the community. We will be coming back and look forward to meeting new people.

I attended a class led by Dr Sakar who is an advanced Yogi with much to offer anyone interested in basic techniques that can be applied to their personal practice. Very nice facility as well.
