I came because a friend told me that this was the best experience she ever had. She kept emailing me every time there was a special. She kept inviting me every class she attended. I finally gave it to the peer pressure and I loved it. The teachers were so kind and have a gentle approach. I can see why my friend raves about this place. It was so good that I had to share my review for anyone else on the fence about yoga especially hot yoga. I had the best sleep.

I was in town for the day and called in maybe 15 minutes before to inquire if there were any classes. I was welcomed in by Nicki and she was amazingly hospitable! The practice was great too; our instructor was great at reading the room and letting everyone have an individual practice while still coaching the group as a whole. Next time I'm in Virginia Beach I will certainly be coming back to Zen Hot Yoga.

Love this studio! Zen hot Yoga has a number of classes which work for all schedules. Not only do they have a lot of classes they have classes for every practice level.

I also like that they keep mats for rent and for purchase and you can often try out the mat you're looking to purchase through renting.

Random tip: there isn't a water fountain but the water from the sink works. They do sell water bottles but just make sure your bottle is filled if you'd prefer to not use the sink.

Each teacher brings a practice that is thoughtful and powerful in its own right. The classes when

This is everything you could want out of a Yoga experience! I have been to all the different Yoga centers in the area and Zen has always been the best for me! The teachers here are incredible people and each one brings their own variations & style to the classes, which keeps every session interesting and give it it's own unique experience! A person of any skill level will feel entirely comfortable here!!

I thoroughly enjoyed practicing at Zen during a family vacation in Virginia Beach. The studio was beautiful, the staff were friendly and the instructors gave amazing guidance. I would recommend this studio to everyone from the beginner to the advanced yogi. My only regret is that I wasn't able to take the studio home with me.

I went to this morning 10:30 warm yoga + meditation class, the teacher was Joanna Niles. I didn't feel so great this morning and was unsure about going and how I would do. I am 100% glad I went and feel so refreshed after the class. I love how Joanna made the class challenging but to my comfort level. I didn't feel intimated or out of place if I could not do a pose but I felt comfortable to push or go further into poses I could do.

My favorite part about her class is that she added in a few new poses to try that was really fun and mixed it up for me.

Hands down best yoga teacher I have

* tl;dr: This place is dope.
This is a dope spot if you're looking to give yoga a try. If you're worried about the heat of the hot classes you have the option of warm classes. Most of the teachers/guides lead the classes differently, so you have your choice of how you want to practice.
Joanna's & Susan's classes are usually a lot of fun and I would say geared for a youthful practitioner.
Andy's class is perfect if you're just getting started. He always explains everything and tries to keep you focused on your breath.
Muning's class is the most relaxing one, and my favorite one to go to.

First off let me just say that I have never practiced yoga before. I made the decision to go to a prenatal yoga class because I began to feel very tense and stiff (now in my second trimester).

I was a little clueless as to what the experience would be like. (I even forgot to bring a mat haha but they did rent one to me for $2) I can honestly say that that one hour session was the most relaxed I have felt in a WHILE. I don't think they heat up the room for prenatal yoga...I'm not sure because the room was a bit warm, but it didn't feel super hot. Regardless, I was sweating pretty

This is my first time doing hot yoga and I am so happy it was at Zen! I was really nervous about my first class but my nervousness went away when I met all the wonderful instructors. I was recommended to take some warm yoga classes to learn the basics then go on to the hot yoga classes. Zen is one of the only studios that have warm and hot yoga. It was extremely helpful and helped me get used to the heat. Everyone here is so friendly and inviting. The studio is very clean, there are cubbies for your belongings, and showers in the restrooms stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I go

Let me start by saying I have been attending another Yoga Studio in Va Beach. I decided to check out Zen Yoga because it was closer to my home and a bit cheaper than the studio I was attending.
Went in on a Saturday morning to check out the 10:30 Warm Yoga / Meditation class.
When I entered the room, I notice that the door was left propped open, thus letting cold air in and letting in the chatter from the hallway. So much for the "Zen" The room itself was disorganized. People seemed to just put their mats down wherever they landed, no uniformity or personal space. Besides that, there

Been coming here for half a year now and I absolutely love it. Zen Hot Yoga suits its name. I was scared and intimidated to come here at first. I'm not athletic nor flexible but after attending classes for more than a week, I became comfortable in the studio the instructors are very helpful and I quickly felt welcomed. The place is small, clean, and organized. The employees here are very helpful and greet you when you enter. Zen has one of the best instructors you could ask for. They really push and encourage you. Coming here as taught me to be patient and listen to my body more. I became

I tried Zen Hot Yoga's introduction week, and I quickly fell in love. After finishing my introduction week, I signed up for unlimited month and went almost every day for the rest of the summer. After doing hot yoga all summer at Zen, I felt a new sense of peace and physical strength that I'd never experienced before.

The classroom is perfect for practice because of the soothing lighting and light scent of incense. I was very impressed with the teachers. They are very welcoming and bring joy to the practice. I particularly enjoyed learning from Elizabeth, Jackie, Susan, and Alex, although

Loved loved loved this hot yoga class! I'm visiting from Texas and my girlfriends decided to make it a girls day event. Our instructor, Jodi, was amazing! Her class was lighthearted and she have variations so that all skill levels could flow through moves and have a wonderful workout. Anyone who uses the word "cattywompus" during a workout is awesome in my book!

They also give you cold towels during the final part of the workout and it's the perfect relaxing ending.

If you are in the area definitely check out Zen - make sure you take Jodi's class and enjoy a great workout

I've currently been on the hunt for a hot yoga studio that had a wider array of classes, I enjoyed my previous studio however the only offered light/warm (not hot enough) and vinyasa (too advanced) with no in-between. I like that zen has kind of something for everyone. Alexandria was the instructor and I really enjoyed the way she taught, I liked that she corrected postures and guided everyone at the same level.

I only gave 4 stars because I disliked that multiple people were allowed in late, some coming in almost 15 minutes later which really broke my concentration. Hopefully that

Zen! I wouldn't call myself a frequent visitor, but whenever I am home to visit I am here. They have a great variety of classes for all fitness levels. It's a cozy environment that does not get too full.

A great blend of people. I got the vibe that if you are a regular, that you'll form a bit of a community. I'd love to find a place like this where I live now.

They have one practice room, clean bathrooms, and all the bricks and straps you could need in your yoga practice. During your cool down, you'll get a nice cool towel placed on your forehead. It's transformative

I love Zen Hot Yoga! The studio is gorgeous, the instructors are wonderful & the hot/warm yoga classes are truly amazing. I could not recommend this studio more.

I've been practicing hot yoga since June 2009. From the very beginning I felt a difference in my spiritual & physical self. I know part of that is owed to the studio & instructors. It is a calm, relaxing & inviting place to practice. I love how each instructor brings their own quirks & personalities to every class, yet a constant, familiar flow is still felt. The studio offers many classes throughout the day
