I have been going to AV for about 3 months now and I've received nothing but awesome service. Jordan is a sweetheart and is the best when it comes to communication and hospitality, aside from her amazing hair work. She definitely works with what her clients want and makes it happen to the best of her ability. The other estheticians I've seen are also really friendly and great, although, I've only seen Jordan since she works with fashion color. Photos attached is my hair right after our session.

This place is freaking awesome! I went in to splurge a bit after I recieved some birthday money. I initially went in to get get everything rebleached since I had product/bleached hair to begin with and Jordan made it happen and come all together. She was sweet, nice, flexible and totally open. She values communication which is a major plus. It took about 6 hours but she didn't rush, was talking to me the whole time throughout the process and did an amazing job. The ladies at this location are the best. I have one before photo of me in her chair to show the results of her gorgeous work.

Angelena has been my trusted hairstylist for years. She helped me keep my hair looking presentable during the awkward grow out phase of my pixie cut, and gave my hair trims on my journey to long hair. She also helped me overcome some scalp issues, all while maintaining a professional manner and taking care to keep the conversation quiet as to not embarrass me in front of other clients. She is very easy to approach and will give you a great haircut.

So first I want to say this is an adorable boutique in Pacifica... great ambiance and just a wonderful vibe. Next, I have to say Jordan is AMAZING!!
I found AV H&M right before the craziness and COVID lockdown (thank goodness!) and after living in the Bay Area for 3 years, I felt like I had finally found my girl! ... and I did
I went in last week once restrictions had eased and left a new person! She is so talented and a great conversationalist... it's like going to see a friend, who just happens to do incredible hair Just look at those before and after pics!!

I have been getting my hair cut & styled by Daniella since they opened. She is so knowledgeable, professional, skilled and consistent. Her calm and pleasant attitude tops off what should be a relaxing visit to the salon.
Her sister Raquel recently joined the team and expanded to offer esthetician services. So far I've had 2 services done by her. Micro blading on my what was almost non existent brows. I am extremely happy with the outcome!

Came in before the holidays super nervous. I've gone to so many hair salons to get an ideal silver and every time I've left disappointed, but FINALLY, not this time! She spent so much time and care into our consult to figure out what I wanted. She stayed after closing just to finish my hair because my hair absorbs color abnormally, and she wanted it to be perfect. Finally I can go to the salon with peace of mind knowing Kayla is going to do my hair.

Raquel is amazing for eyelash extensions. I have been going to her for over a year now and she's the BEST by far in my experience. My lashes last up to 3-4 weeks and still look pretty full. She has true artistic skills and knows how to mix and match the different lash lengths to give a natural, yet full volume fanned look.
I'm so glad I found her! 5 stars all around!

Heard about this salon through a mutual friend and I also needed somewhere close to home. Kayla is AMAZING!! I have thick hair and Kayla was able to give me style and also take the bulk that was weighing my hair down. Oh la, la, I feel like a new woman!! I'm new to Pacifica and happened upon AV when I was out on a walk and in need of a hairstylist. I walked in and met Kayla about a year ago and have not left ever since! From a Brazilian to whatever my needs are, this girl is amazing! Not only is she super talented but down to earth, friendly, professional and always accommodating to my schedule!

I used to get my hair done for many years in San Carlos because that is where I used to live. I had a great salon there. I moved to the coast and I tried to stick it out with my San Carlos hairstylist but it was too far to make any sense of my traveling all the way there.

My first time at this salon. Such a beautiful little place with personal touches from salon owner Angelina! This salon is relaxing and has a "spa like" environment. While given a glass of my favorite beverage, owner Angelina did her magic. I am wanting to go from a darker color to a "grey" look. This will be done in stages. Angelina did a lovely blonde tone for now and we will work toward grey at my next visit. My hair is so soft. This tells me she takes great care when changing colors. I observed a lovely young lady receiving a deep Burgundy color on her hair. It turned out beautiful!!! Maybe

For my wedding in Pacifica, I had no idea where to even start finding a bridal hair stylist. When I saw AV Hair and Makeup just down the street from my venue, I decided to check them out. I have a lot of hair, so when I heard about this salon I was excited I was immediately greeted by owner Angelina. She went over all the different things we could do , since I wasn’t so sure what I really wanted to do she had me convince I was going highlight and cut..

AV Hair & Makeup is the only salon I have trusted with my hair. I am old school and have a hard time finding the right stylist that will listen to what I want done with my hair. When I sit in the chair I feel like I can tell Angelena exactly what I am looking for and she will offer her recommendations. Her color and cut is always on point. My hair has been thinning as I get older and she recommended extensions one day. I absolutely love my extensions, they have given me the confidence I needed to wear my hair down without feeling self-conscious. All of the stylist in the salon are professional

I haven't been to a salon to have my hair done in a really long time and I'm extremely happy that I chose AV Hair & Makeup. The shop is beautiful, the stylists and owner are very friendly, well educated in their craft and easy to talk to. I went in for a touch up on my roots, which were out of control and walk out with an amazing new look. I have been getting non-stop compliments on my new color, red, that Angelena recommended. This red is amazing!! Thank you for the wonderful experience and new look. I definitely have a new salon!!!!

Jordan dyed my hair and it looks amazing! I've had my hair dyed before but it never really turned out how I wanted it, but Jordan knew exactly what to do for my hair type and I love it! I scheduled my color appointment with Angelina online - she got back to me by email and we discussed exactly what I want. This off the bat made me really happy because she took the time to go over what we were going to do to my hair beforehand so I didn't have to explain it all to her the moment I got there like most places- she cared and took her own time to contact me.

I got my hair done by Angelena. First of all, she is so nice and welcoming! Seriously, it's like you are at home when you are with her. Best interaction I have ever had at a salon. Now to the hair! She knows her stuff. She knows about new styles and new products. More importantly, she knows what looks good. I have fine hair and she worked it like a magician. I came in with terrible golden colored hair. It was bad. She made it beautiful again. Definitely will be going to Angelena from now on. Excited to try new things in the future.

I've been with Angelena for close to a year now and she is absolutely amazing. She was originally over at Bamboo Hair and Body down in Half Moon Bay and has since then been thriving closer to home at Shine.
