Over a period of two+ years I've had 3 surgeries done on the same hand by Dr. Olarte. The first was a minor in office procedure to see if more extensive surgery could be avoided. It worked a bit and for awhile, but as expected, it wasn't enough. The second procedure was a more invasive output surgery, but still limited procedure that did fix the problem with one finger. However, it eventually made worse for the adjoining finger.
So finally, a third more invasive surgery was done which did finally fixed everything. The point is Dr. Olarte tried to minimize scarring by first trying the least invasive

I would not repeat.......Office is a bit weird compared to other hand surgeons. Injections to fingers are not guided by ultrasound. No X Ray taken, I actually doubt an X Ray machine is in this office. When the doctor entered the room with a cloth mask, he asked if he could remove it because he was "vaccinated" !!! We all know there is no studies indicating this vaccine even works ! I kept my N95 on throughout the visit. The injection did nothing !! A waste of time.........Kept asking me if it hurt in a particular spot on my hand where he was pressing and I continued to say no ! Asked me over and

Dr. Olarte is a Workers comp mule. He only cares to see that the bone has healed in order to return to work. He completely denies any physical therapy to address any possible soft tissue injuries that are restricting me as a patient from returning to previous level of function. I have had my share of injuries and this is the first time a doctor told me physical therapy is not needed. Prior to falling off a ladder at work, my right has had full range of motion and completely strong. I was able to lift, paint and work with no pain. Now i have to take over the counter medications to deal with my pain
