At The Florida Center for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction, many of our arthroscopic ankle patients are "Weekend Warrior" athletes who've suffered prior ankle sprains and often complain of continued pain, tightness, or the feeling of something catching, clicking or popping within the ankle joint.
Often these patients have never fully recovered from previous ankle sprains and ankle arthroscopy can be employed to remove scar tissue, adhesions, bone spurs or to repair small fractures or damaged cartilage within the ankle joint - and with minimal down time. Our Weekend Warrior patients are often pleased to hear that arthroscopic ankle surgery recovery time is minimal because it gets them back in the game quicker!

My experience with Dr Black started with his staff. I was treated as expected upon arrival and when I was moved to a patient room I overheard both Dr's and patient assistant interact with patients. I was very impressed with how they communicated...simple..thorough and effective with a little tlc(most patients they had were elderly and usually need some tlc). Meeting Dr Black I was happy to see he actually listened to me and my concerns regarding my foot and considered my thoughts when formulating a plan to help me. I am currently in recovery week 4 from the surgery and while I expected faster healing

Staff were extremely rude. I have never received such horrible service before. Doctor spent 5 minutes with my grandmother and did not give her proper instruction and did not address her frequent falls at least a couple times a week. (He didn't even mention a cane or walker for her broken foot she can barely walk on!) When I tried expressing this to the staff they were rude and ignored me. Never ever will recommend this horrid place.
