I am having issues closing out the account after my son moved out.
Republic at Sam Houston
Not only was the move out fee outrageous but the lack of availability of the management and bookkeeper is completely unprofessional.
There was no move out inspection when any of the residents moved/transferred out and my son ,meaning I, was stuck with paying for all damages, including the rooms that were unoccupied and locked.

When I moved out I made sure everything was clean and up to standards for the next person to move in. Well me and my 2 other roommates who moved out got fined 200 dollars for cleaning of the carpet. They took out the carpet did not tell us why we got a carpet cleaning fine and are charging us for them doing maintenance which should be done. The building had a termite infestation and allot of other problems which we could not control.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!! IT IS NOT AS NICE AS THE MODEL!! Roach and ant infested apartments. Roach droppings all over. Cabinets are water damaged and deteriorating.
If I could give zero stars I would.
The model has shining new amenities, clean cabinets without wear and tear but the actual apartments are extremely dated with warping on the fronts of the kitchen cabinets. The washer dryer does not work properly in my daughter's unit, so she has to wash and dry her clothes through multiple cycles.
The BIG issues is my daughter's apartment was infested with roaches prior to her moving in.

I wouldn't even give 1 star. This apartment complex totally takes advantage of students. They will trick you into a lease when you think you are following up with your application. Noone there knows what they are doing. Different people tell you different things. Do not rent here unless you want to get screwed!

SUBLEASE: Looking to sublease my room and private bathroom in a 2x2. Starting 8/1/2018 through 7/31/2019. I currently have a roommate who has leased through the same time but the leases are individual so you will not have to worry about them not paying or anything like that.
I have lived here for 2 years now and the staff and apartment complex have treated me very nicely and taken care of all problems I have had immediately. Currently they have redone a lot of the amenities such as the pool and clubhouse. The internet is also fantastic (200mb download, 100mb upload)!

I know there will be other students that have no choice but to live at an apartment like this but warning you now of the many issues with this apartment. 1, the ant problem here is horrible. Even if you are the cleanest person and never leave food out they will find their way into any of your food in your pantry or refrigerator. 2, it seems like some of the employees don't know how to do their job because they don't document your conversations over the phone which can later come back to bite your in the butt. 3, when you're moving out they will take you more your money no matter
