The apartment are nice but it a pretty unsafe area. There’s a lot of car break ins and since I’ve been here I’ve had A catalytic converter and a motorcycle stolen from me in the parking lot.
Update: all of my roommates cars just got broken into a couple weeks after the first few incidents. This place really isn’t safe. Update: cars got broken into again. I guess if you don’t mind your car getting broken into every other week this place is great.

Applied at Greenspire and wasn’t told you are put on a game of chance for their apartments or I would have never applied. Not to mention I think it’s a joke because I’ve replied within 30secs of receiving an email saying an apartment was available and I received the same response that someone already claimed it. Within 30 secs someone beat me??? And I just received an email saying another apartment was available and this time I didn’t even respond and within 3 mins of receiving the email I received another email saying someone already responded????? I didn’t even respond to the email

I was on the waitlist for months and could never get in. Yes greenspire has a some units with a lower monthly rent than most apartments in the portage area. But it is almost impossible to get into. There isn’t an actual waitlist it’s more of a game of chance. Long story short I was able to buy a house faster then get an apartment here.

Although this apartment complex looks nice from the outside, I would not recommend applying here unless you have a lot of time to wait around. You pay an application fee to sit on a waitlist for months and then race to be the first person to respond to their email once an apartment actually becomes available. You are competing with hundreds of other people on their waitlist for the same apartment you are looking at. I’m not sure why they do not prioritize their waiting list by who applies first, this would make a lot more sense and relieve a lot of frustration for potential residents. Even if

Future renters be warned – the apartments may be pretty, but management is extremely unethical. My husband and I needed to break out lease after purchasing our perfect starter home. Upon signing our lease, the property manager, David Ward, had told us the reason the lease agreement did not include a clause regarding early termination is because… there would be no repercussions to breaking a lease with adequate notice provided. I lived at Greenspire Apartments for over four years. The location is just right. You are far enough away from the business and bustle, but only minutes away from Westnedge Ave, shopping, and great food. Situated in a beautiful wooded setting, I had a very peaceful stay and no trouble continuing in my work from home position. The view I had… facing the woods provided extra privacy as well.

Great place to live had a place on the 3rd floor wasn’t what we really wanted but made it work and they did some work on the roof and started to leek shortly there after the staff was quick to response to it. Also ended up breaking our lease for a home we worked with the staff to come up with a Solution that work us and the property. Which was… great had no issues with them. I would like to thank the staff for all hard work and your willingness to help me out and working with me even though you didn’t have to. I wish the staff nothing but the best with all other renters of 8415
