Incrediblebly positive experience. The management team was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and just all around friendly...The apartments are super nice, and the maintenance staff is prompt and professional...also the surrounding neighborhood is quiet and cozy...I would recommend Amherst apts.in Bedford to anyone..

Management is forcing Smart Home technology onto residents. We are required to sign up and allow ADT in to add a keypad door lock, smart thermostat, etc. When leases renew rent will go up$40. They bill these as luxury apartments but they are old and have cheap carpet and vinyl. Maybe years ago this was luxury but not anymore. Maintenence did a sloppy job of fixing damage from previous residents in my place. My tub was painted at some point and it's peeling off. These are budget apartments that Smart Home technology cannot make up for. It's not worth $40 a month more to me.

Critical: Professionalism
Maintenance is very slow ( putting mildly) been two months with damage in ceiling of guests bathroom due to leak. Have to continually call and asked bout this and keep getting we'll forward to maintenance. Office never open and no communication. However very prompt on upping rent.

I really liked living here. Grounds were always taken care of, maintenance was pretty ok, and the other residents are super friendly. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the women that run the office make it pretty clear that they don't care about anyone else's time except their own. My wife and I recently moved out and had to pay our final amount. It was around $80 bucks, no big deal right? WRONG. We went there at various times and they would always be gone. One Saturday we decided to get there as they open, at 10. Lo and behold they weren't there. Had to wait almost 30

I moved into these apartments about a week before Christmas and I’m very happy with my decision. I rented a small upstairs apartment that meets my needs and I especially like the kitchen with the new appliances. I had an issue with the toilet (it kept running), but management addressed this problem very quickly. In addition, they sent someone to lift the carpet so that I could run computer cables for my work-related projects. My neighbors have also been very friendly and outgoing. Overall, I’m grateful that I moved to the Amherst Apartments!

Lived here for a few years and it was a decent place to live in Bedford, although maintenance tended to be on the slower side and they seemed to refuse to fix/replace bigger ticket items such as the garbage disposal. However, it's nearing the end of my lease that my problems began...they did not provide notification that my lease was up (notification was required by the lease agreement) until I notified them that I will be moving out at the end of my lease. I come to find out that they will be charging me additional months of rent because I did not provide them with sufficient move-out notice.

Best apartments in the Bedford hands down. Very safe location. The management and maintenance staff is great and very professional. They really care about their residents. Plenty of their residents have been living there for a very long time. They will hold your packages to make sure they are in a safe location from theft. Maintenance keeps up with the property. I can’t say enough how satisfied I am.

It's a really beautiful apartment with wonderful features and in a very nice area surrounded by lots of things to do! Some of the things in the unit are a little bit broken or don't function super well like the doors, locks, cabinets, etc. But it's completely worth it for the aesthetic feel of the place. The staff is very helpful and nice and you're far enough away from everything for it to be nice and quiet.

On the outside. The swat team was here along with all of Bedford PD removing people. Nice touch. On the inside. The door hinges come out of the drywall, the plumbing is always questionable, the stove did not work when I moved in and it took 3 weeks to replace. Roaches scatter every time I get a new neighbor which is often. The fake wooden floor likes to pop up and cut the bottoms of our feet. The neighbors use patios to dry their clothes.
