Zaker Family Vision is a full service optometric practice serving Chicago's southwest area since 1988. Drs. Zaker place an emphasis on the treatment of anterior segment disease including eye infections, allergies and emergencies. Our doctors are licensed and certified to prescribe both topical and oral medications in the treatment for eye conditions.
We excel in hard to fit contact lenses and prescribe all types of lenses including, daily wear, disposable, programmed replacement, astigmatism correcting lenses, gas permeable lenses and bifocal contact lenses. Our pricing on contact lenses are lower than most commercial and mail order companies. We always encourage our patients to shop for their best value in contact lenses, and the vast majority return to our office for their supply.

Dr. Joe and Dr. Theresa met in their first year at the Illinois College of Optometry. They have been married since 2007 and have 2 wonderful daughters. They like to travel whenever possible. They enjoy exploring National Parks, going to Disney, and have a goal to see all 50 states as a family. Dr. Joe Zaker was raised in the near southwest suburbs of Chicago.

I wish all doctors offices ran like this office! Every single person in the office is kind, knowledgeable, and patient. From the first phone call, through paperwork,, and before exam procedures the staff is so great! Dr. Joe was so thorough! The first time seeing the back of my eye balls was a little strange, but he took the time to explain everything and even showed me the picture of his eye! This is the first time an office had a trial pair of contacts for my prescription and I was pushed to get glasses or contacts. They talked me through how my insurance works, how to best take advantage of

Wow called ahead to verfyi cost of diabetic eye exam had a apointment for 2 weeks to get it done emphised the fact i would not anything but my medicare info then when i arrived they wanted to do a refaction that cost only 29.00 ya no they said i need it i know you do not need a eye test every year to get a diabetic exam sorry i call that a sham would not recomend decitful and untrust worthy the truth will set you free

My wife and I appreciate the care and time received by Dr. J and his staff in helping us select the best frames and getting a good fit. This is the first pair of progressives that I have been able to use without falling back on a selection of readers. Previously I had to switch out to different prescriptions when looking at a monitor or my phone.

I saw Dr. Joe and am so grateful to him for his expertise. I now have the perfect prescription for my progressive lens. I left the office with the new glasses on and never had to adjust to them! I was there for a kindergarten eye exam with my autistic non-verbal son. Doctor Joseph is amazing. He just started to talk to my son, play with him and calm him down, and he was able to check his eyes not making him scared. The office staff is very nice too. Thank you for your sensitivity and understanding for my child's needs.

Great family owned and run optometry shop. From the receptionists to the doctors everyone is nice to you and very helpful. Prices are just the same as you would see in a Corporate run lensecrafters or Sears, etc. You get the price you want, but also the quality that only comes from small family run businesses.
