One of the few constants in life is change, and over time all of us must learn to adapt to new realities. Sometimes change is thrust upon us and sometimes we need to be the driving force, but however change comes into our life it can be painful or unwelcome. We are creatures of habit, and we often become attached to our habits.
Even those that are limiting and leave us feeling unhappy, stuck or alone. We may tell ourselves "this is who I am and I can't change, " but deep down we know there must be a better way. Counseling helps us understand the difficult feelings that come with change, and it can provide a fresh perspective to familiar problems.

Men learn early in life that they need to prove themselves, to master their anger, and to separate from the nurturing they received as a boy. This can be stressful, confusing, and lead to negative behaviors which further isolate young men from the support they need. Sometimes these behaviors make a bad situation worse.

Gary is a nice guy and I'd enjoy chatting with him at the supermarket.
I feel weird even writing a negative review but at $140 an hour you ought to get a little more than a sympathetic ear.
Gary does not seem to have any more wisdom or expert insight that you'd hope to find if you took your problems to a kind neighbor.
You say something like, "Couldn't it be that a person thinks they have one intention but they really have a different one?" He seems a little obtuse, even about incidents from his own life that he uses for example.
If you just want a calm, pleasant mediator
