Our mission is to support individuals and families in the North Bay in their search for hope and healing, as well as for personal and spiritual growth. We offer a vibrant range of counseling services and community education programs provided by licensed clinicians, credentialed coaches and body-workers, and spiritual directors who, together, embrace a variety of spiritual and psychological approaches to health and healing.

The Interfaith Counseling Center is a non-profit, tax-exempt, charitable organization providing counseling services to people without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability to pay (as resources permit). In order to provide services on a sliding scale, we rely on the financial support of community-minded individuals, congregations, and businesses.
Services
We live in times of tremendous uncertainty and change. Though globally connected, with every imaginable technology available to connect us anywhere, anytime, we are simultaneously suffering unprecedented isolation and separation: from those we love, from that which brings meaning to our lives, and from our very selves.
I have been in the counseling field, for more than 20 years and am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology. As a Hakomi graduate, SoulCollage Facilitator, with training and experience in the Expressive Arts, a background as a clinical Hypnotherapist and extensive training in many different disciplines of therapy, I bring a multi-modal approach, integrating what is needed for the specific client.
In the service of its mission to support health, healing and spiritual growth, ICC offers the services of certified life coaches, body workers and other professionals trained in alternative paths to healing and wholeness.

Because I believe that true healing includes the psychological, physical and spiritual aspects of an individuals being, I have chosen to study and include treatment modalities focused on each of these aspects in my professional practice. Each modality stands on it's own and while I practice each modality separately, the training in all influence each other.
I am a licensed psychologist and a Diplomate in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. I have been in psychotherapeutic practice, in various settings, for more than 40 years. I have written a few books, particularly on loss, grief and addictions. Most recently I was Professor of Pastoral Counseling at San Francisco Theological Seminary for ten years.
If these or other such questions are important to you, consider meeting with a Spiritual Director. There are many paths to the Mystery some call God, Higher Power, Allah, Buddha Nature, and Atman, among others. Everyone finds a way into Mystery from whatever experience has taught them. Ordinary life is the place to begin.
