It may not be what you expect. Many people think hospice means the end of life. Hospice is a service designed to make you as comfortable as possible during a life-limiting illness or end of life experience. The goal of hospice is comfort and quality of life rather than the pursuit of curative methods.

Home health care is a wide range of health care services that can be given in your home for an illness or injury. Home health care is usually less expensive, more convenient, and just as effective as care you get in a hospital or skilled nursing facility (SNF). The goal of home health care is to treat an illness or injury.

If you are contemplating placing your loved one into a long-term care center or nursing home because they are ill or can no longer take care of themselves, you should consider your options. There are several ways you can provide more safety and security in their home, wherever they reside, while assuring they receive the professional care they need.
Contrary to popular misconceptions, hospice is not a place/location- hospice care, home health and personal care are types of service. Tender Care Hospice, Home Health, and Personal Care brings physical, emotional, and spiritual care and support to wherever our patients call home. This can be a personal residence, nursing home, assisted living facility, hospital, or other location.
Tender Care Home Health and Hospice is currently seeking experienced individuals to join our growing team in Davis, Salt Lake, Cache and Utah Counties! Here at Tender Care, we are committed to provide excellent service to our patients and their loved ones in their time of need. Apply now and be part of an organization.
Interested in volunteering? Hospice Volunteers offer patients and families a listening ear, a hand to hold, and the presence of a caring heart. Services offered by the volunteers are as varied as the needs of the patients and families. Through companionship and support, you would be making a difference in the lives of others - and your own too.

I want to thank Tender Care Home Health and Hospice and especially Rob Phelps. In our greatest hour of need, he was always there to help us know what to do and how to help my Dad. He had a special respect and reverence in caring for my Dad. I would highly recommend him and his staff. Thank You.

They never will return your calls or they just don't answer the phone!! There is a never ending change over in their office staff, don't bother to learn their name. That person will not be there if you try to call and they actually answer the phone!!😠😠😠

I have worked closely with Tender Care over the last year and have enjoyed my experience very much. The Davis County liaison Dax Hobbs is great at what he does and works extremely well with everyone. The nurses are competent and professional as well. I would recommend Tender Care to anyone!

I cannot even begin to tell you just how amazing Erna & Paulette were to my dad! He was so scared of hospice when we first brought it up but soon had his fears eased by Erna! The first day she came in and explained everything to him and he felt so much better about his situation! Over the last nine months they both cared for him very much! From Erna coming in and totally checking out where he was health wise twice a week, giving us ideas about how to help him live longer and better for his last months, sharing stories about Norway (where are ancestors are from) and playing her guitar and singing

I recently had the opportunity to meet a few of the team members from Tender Care Home Health & Hospice. Never, have I ever, met a group of people who are so genuinely passionate about the services they are able to provide to the community. They always put the patient and their needs first, and they have some of the Best Nurses, Aides, and Patient Care coordinators in the industry! I will be forever grateful for what they have done for me and my family. I would highly recommend them to anyone, and everyone who is in need of Hospice or Home Health.
