Owner/operator since 1989, Bill is an ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician, an Advanced Engine Performance Specialist, a DEQ Certified Advanced Emissions Specialist and is a charter member of the Service Technicians Society. Bill was born and raised in Lake Oswego and has more than three decades of experience providing automotive repair and service to local residents and is well known for excellence in car care.
Owner Bill Erickson has been providing quality automotive services in Lake Oswego and the Portland are since 1989. Bill cares deeply about his staff and is reflected by the fact they enjoy working here for you. ASE Master Tech Jim Geres has been with Erickson's since 1992 and ASE Master Tech Greg Cauble since 2003.
Did you know that you can maintain your factory warranty with regular service at Erickson's Automotive? Federal law prohibits automobile manufacturers from requiring routine maintenance be performed by their franchised dealers to maintain the factory warranty, unless the services are provided free of charge.
Erickson's Automotive believes and practices the AMERICAN SERVICE ASSOCIATION (ASA) Code of Ethics:. To furnish an itemized invoice for fairly priced parts and services that clearly identifies any used or remanufactured parts. Replaced parts may be inspected upon request. To recommend corrective and maintenance services, explaining to the customer which of these are required to correct existing problems and which are for preventive maintenance.

My experience with other mechanic shops has scared me into doing stuff myself on my Jeep until I didn’t know how to fix what I had done. I’m so thankful I came across Devon at Erickson’s Automotive. I've been going to Erickson's Automotive for about 30 years - ever since they were Jeepers (specializing in Jeeps). I have always been impressed with how straight forward Bill is. He honestly gives recommendations on what really needs to be done in regard to preventive maintenance, explaining why some things in the owners manual are not really necessary. Also, I recently found out that he's a remarkably accomplished musician and vocalist. I just bought his CD "GOOD TO GO". It is very impressive.

These guys have taken care of me and my old Jeep time after time. After first getting my Jeep I took it to a different Portland mechanic with high ratings. At that mechanic, every time I dropped it off for one issue, I’d pick it up and find a new issue. Frustrated, I looked around and found Erickson’s- and am I glad I did. Bill and the team are fantastic- helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I live in East Portland but the commute to Lake Oswego is well worth it for the service I provide. I couldn’t recommend Erickson’s more highly.
