We live in the Seattle area but found a car online in the Clackamas/Milwaukee area that really interested us. We weren't finding what we want in Washington State at all. No mechanics are open on the weekends in the Portland Metro area.....so a repair shop recommended Mobile PDX. On top of this great suggestion....Courtney, of MPDX, suggested looking at the vehicle on our behalf before we made the trek down. Update: Car we bought that was inspected has oil filled with metal and the wrong oil filter. Car is toast, the engine is also very audibly knocking. Failed to even identify such a major issue, not sure how it could have been overlooked. Now we are stuck with a WRX with a bad engine.

The line he used "Was under promise and overperform" The reason for their 5 stars is the "overperform". 7 of 8 wheel studs had somehow sheared off the divers side rear dually on the RV while driving. On the road and in Cascade Locks, miles from anywhere that could fix it. Ya cant move it, last one could snap. Courtney understood the danger, gave the best explanation of scenarios that might occur, drove the hour+ to us and on the roadside removed, repaired and replaced the rear wheel hub and tires. Courtney and his son Lou were a absolute pleasure to work with! Got my Subi back up and running after many shops gave me the run around and tried to overcharge me! They came to my house and got my helicoil installed along with new spark plus quickly and professionally. They even fixed a couple little things for me last minute. I was traveling from out of town when my car broke down and wouldn't start. Courtney and his colleague were able to meet me at my car within 20 minutes of my call - no towing needed! They diagnosed the problem, explained what was wrong, and provided me with a quote in a short amount of time. Most other shops were closed on Saturday, but Mobile PDX was able to come to my location and get my vehicle running smoothly. Courtney even checked in to be sure all was still well with my car after the roadtrip home. Excellent service, would highly recommend!

Courtney helped us out last minute with a pre-purchase vehicle inspection. We called him in the morning and he was able to check out the truck we were looking to buy that same afternoon at the dealership, which was a *huge* help because we needed to get it checked out and to buy the vehicle that same day as we live out of state and were heading home. Process went as smooth as possible. We took care of everything over the phone, including payment, and he sent a report and discussed it with us when he was done. Recommend him highly.

Big thumbs up! Courtney is not only very knowledgeable and experienced, but he's also a hell of a nice, interesting guy with a good zest for life.

Courtney is a great guy who likes what he does - he's a people person! I hired him for a mobile inspection before an auto purchase. He was very flexible with his time and was willing to do more than what was asked to get the job done. He also had good advice on making the auto purchase. Courtney is a reliable and friendly mechanic! He has been doing this job for over 40 years. I called him on Friday and he came the next day to check what he needs to do. He did a major tune up and my Honda Accord has been driving really smooth since then. I will definitely come back and would recommend to my friends and family.

Agree with all of the other reviews, Courtney is an awesome guy. I'd recommend him to anybody. Instead of pumping me for money, he told me straight up that my car was not worth all of the money it would take to really get into shape(which I had suspected) and, then, he didn't charge me and gave me leads on where I could possibly find another used car for cheap. I'm broke. I'm disappointed. None of it has to do with Mobile PDX's service. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend Mobile PDX. Never fails it's a Saturday afternoon of a long weekend and something goes haywire on the car. Courtney confirmed I could meet Lou (so?) at the house to check my Jeep out. The problem was a hole in the exhaust pipe where it's mounted and needs to be welded. I was referred to a place that would that care of that in a timely and cost efficient manner. I'm very pleased with Mobile PDX and will be using them again

I called Courtney up and let him know the 411, he said he would be over in the afternoon to early evening. He kept me updated via text and made it over much later than expected, at 7 pm. He had a full schedule and was fitting me in at the end of his day.
2 hours later and he was done, it took a bit of time to get the old motor out, since it died with the window fully down and my door design has a small access

I live on the coast and knew that it was important to buy a truck in the valley and I decided on a small car lot they didn't allow vehicles to leave the lot to be checked since it didn't have the staff to transport it. When I went searching for who could do it for me, these guys had the best reviews. And I was not disappointed!
These guys are great, and I was able to do everything, scheduling and payment over the phone. I even got text messages updating me on their progress and process. The car lot was also very impressed with how thorough they were at checking all aspects of the vehicle
