I get asked a lot, probably by every curly haired girl that sits in my char, "So, how did you get into cutting curly hair?" The short answer is simply that I love working with it and I can do things with curls and waves that just can't be done with straight hair. I would rather play with curls all day than work with straight hair.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify the salon at least 48 hours in advance by calling 626.441.2062. Fifty percent of the services will be charged if an appointment is cancelled within forty-eight to twenty-four hours. One-hundred percent of the services will be charged if cancelled within twenty-four hours of the scheduled appointment.
The Deva/Curly Cut and Style is a unique haircut which focuses on either sculpting each curl cutting in at an angle so the curl pattern is not disrupted or utilizing the Deva Signature Waterfall cutting technique, a structured method of cut as well as intuitive skills (curl by curl) to cut the hair.
Our stylists that offer this service look at it as being able to read the story of your hair. Its length, its density, and its texture. It's a completely custom haircut to the individual based on how your hair naturally falls making your everyday wear effortless. Being visual learners it only makes sense that they are visual artists as well.
It is so important to receive an extension cut following an extension application. So much so that at our salon it's not even an option to opt out of one. It's all included in the overall service price. Extensions cuts are given on dry hair. Dry cutting extensions is a visual art, not approached as technical cutting.

Scheduling an appointment was easy, the salon is beautiful. (I love their plant decorations). But this review is for Ace. She is kind, helpful, and amazing with the way she takes care of her clients. I asked her a million questions throughout my appointment and after, and she answers the questions with grace. Some of you may read my review and think I am exaggerating but I will never go anywhere else ever again to cut my hair. Ace you literally may have changed my life. My entire life, I dreaded getting a haircut, paying so much money for haircuts hoping someone would get it right. Ace was awesome!! She totally changed the game of my hair and I learned so much from her. Not only that, but I truly found the best product for my curls and it's a relief to no longer waste money on stuff that doesn't work. My hair is actually curlier than I thought and my curls actually start at my root now. Plus the vibes of the actual location were on point. Audie is the absolute best. I've been going to her for years. I always get comments on how good my haircuts look from friends and family after a fresh cut. I recommend booking your monthly appointments with her a year in advance. I certainly do. I just sit down and let her do her thing. Audie is just so great. I used to always hate haircuts my whole life, sitting frozen while I watch people butcher my curls. So my solution was to just grow it out and never cut it for years...but I gotta say it was not looking great. then I went to Audie and she took my hair from long unshaped strings to shaggy Jon Snow glory.
The only thing I would say is she books up fast so pre-schedule your next haircut! I made the mistake of going somewhere else out of impatience, and it was such a mess. She helped me fix it and now I'm happy with my curls again! I don't know how she does it but

I've gotten my hair cut by Audie twice so far and have had an amazing experience both times! Through the cut and wash, Audie gave me much needed advice about how to wash and care for my hair, and I have seen a lot of improvement in the health of my hair ever since going to thairapy salon. I can't say enough wonderful words about Audie @ Thairapy Salon! She has always taken the time to find out exactly what I want and need in a haircut. She was able to fix previous cuts I received that created "holes" in how my hair fell as a person who was new to wavy/curly hair. Audie provided me with education, products and a cut to make it all very manageable. When I first met her, in addition to transitioning from fighting my wavy hair, I was also transitioning from dying my hair to letting my hair grow out to show all the gray lol...it's a journey, and she helped and supported

There's a reason why there's a months-long wait to get an appointment at Thairapy... It is an incredible, warm, professional, and inviting salon full of very talented and personable artists. AUDIE is my QUEEN. What she does is not just haircutting. She is a a true artist. And a beautiful person. An amazing listener who not only gives you the haircut you ask for (which is critical) but truly could have a dynamic conversation with anyone. Had the best experience here! Ace really hooked it up with an amazing cut and style! I walked out having learned so much about my curls specifically. Got a couple of the Innersense products and I definitely do not regret, I am already noticing a difference in my hair! I have so much more confidence:) Really loved this place, will definitely be back in!

This review is for Audie Marie at Thairapy Salon. She is an excellent curl specialist and I'm so glad I found her. She shapes and cuts my hair at times curl by curl, really takes her time and obviously enjoys her job. My curls have never looked so healthy and I'm always happy when I get a chance to have her cut my hair. I've had her cut my hair in several different hairstyles and each time I've been very happy with the results, can't say enough great things about her work and she's a very cool person too. Let me tell you about Audie!!! First I'd like to mention that I've spent years trying so many things with my curly hair, and haven't figured it out until my experience here. I grew up with so many insecurities, always wearing my hair in a bun, straightening it to the point of no return... at least I thought. This was my first time trying a dry cut. Tamara was great in listening to my hair grievances and goals. She did an amazing job with my cut and style. The highlight of the appointment was that she actually took the time to teach me how to wash my hair "properly" and the styling techniques. She really wanted to make sure I knew the steps to take home with me. I'm excited for next appointment!

Ace really went above and beyond with my hair! I am from nyc and have been on the road and desperately needed a hair cut. Tamara was AMAZING! I have had a dry cut before so I only signed up for a cut and go but she mentioned staying for a wash and style since she needed to fix my damaged ends and maybe I would want to see it before I left. I was SO happy I did! She was such a good listener from the beginning and was specific about how much she was taking off and gave me the exact style I wanted. She styled it so well! Going to the hair salon, for me, is like going to the dentist for most people. I spend the entire time in the chair stressed out and praying that I won't leave in absolute pain. The bestttt hair salon I've been to. Brenda did amazing with my hair color and actually explained everything. We also came up with a game plan to help me get the results I want and can maintain. Tamara gave me the best curly cut and style I've ever had. Didn't even know there were different cuts other than the usual straight line one but we brainstormed and I loveee my hair (First time I haven't gone home and restyled my hair after a cut and been miserable about it).
