Our story is very positive because Greg Bertaux was our home inspector twice, most recently last month and also about three years ago. Both times he did a great job. Moving from the Midwest to coastal Florida needed a good home inspector to check out an expensive home for us without us being present since covid made traveling difficult. Went with Greg Berteaux at IM HOME INSPECTOR even though cost was considerably more than other quotes we received as we figured you get what you pay for and based on reviews here he seemed like a good inspector.

Mr. Bertaux did a great job for us. Last month signed contract to buy a duplex, one to rent and one to occupy. He found several key issues not disclosed including one AC unit needing replacement, mold in the master bathroom, a leaking water heater and the roof past its life, and many other smaller issues. We re-negotiated with the sellers to reduce our purchase price by $15,000. My husband and I definitely recommend him to any other buyer. He was very professional, easy to communicate and followed up with calls and detailed consulting on the roof and AC.

I decided to choose Greg with IM Home Inspector after interviewing six of the highest rated home inspectors in the area. The thoroughness of the home inspection performed by Greg Bertaux uncovered several moisture related problems that where invisible to the eye (and, as yet, the nose!) that could have cost us dearly down the road.
