Services
Playing and doing are the jobs of young children. Learning is most effective when they are totally involved in the process. This includes exploring, experimenting, manipulating, inventing, problem solving, role playing, and having fun! Skills are introduced, taught, and reinforced with concrete materials.
The 5 Year Old Program for children needing an extra year of preschool. All children must be toilet trained (no Pull-Ups) and their immunizations need to be up to date. Current Horizons Preschool students and siblings have registration priority for a short period before open enrollment. During the open enrollment period, class rosters are filled based on the receipt date of the enrollment form and the fees.
We are a team teaching preschool. Although one teacher will be your child's "home" teacher, your child will benefit from the background and experiences of all the teachers in the classroom. The Director, Angie Racine, has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology and a minor in Art. Angie has social work experience with Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services in the Help Me Grow program.
