In 2009 Mike decided to stop dreaming about a bike shop and opened one. Since then his son, Josh, and some close friends have stepped up from time to time to help make sure that Elon Bike Shop stays the best LBS in the area. Growing up in Miami, Florida, bikes have always been Mikes passion. His love for old, Italian steel is like no other, but don't let that fool you.

I showed up with plans to drop my bike off and pick it up later in the week. Mike rolled my bike back to his workshop, made a couple of quick adjustments and he was done in less than 5 minutes! Mike is a bike junkie and very knowledgeable. He’s no nonsense with fair prices. I really enjoyed talking to him and I hope things turn around quickly as COVID-19 has made it difficult for him to get the parts necessary which makes it difficult for him to make 100% of all repairs. If you’re looking for someone who knows their stuff, I’d highly recommend him!

I called on Friday October 23 and asked if they can fit me for my bike. because I was doing a group ride on Saturday and wanted to make sure I would be comfortable. Mike the owner stated to come in and he would do it for me for no fee ( adjusted seat and handle bars) as well as showing me how to work the gears in the empty parking lot next door. ( I am a beginner road rider). I was very impressed with the positive energy he put out and enthusiasm he showed while teaching me the gears the back and front. Mike is the real deal... he loves bikes, loves Campy even more, and will work his fingers to the bone to fix whatever comes through his door on two wheels. I've never had a bad experience with Mike. He's one badass dude, fun to talk to, and knows his stuff about bikes. Any time I've gotten a flat, needed an adjustment, or had any other problem with my bike there's no other place I'd take it. He'll set you up right and won't make you get anything you don't need.

I have gone to Mike several times, and most recently, I brought my bike in for a busted tube and suggested upping the tire size. Mike had it done within a day, and my bike was looking better than ever.
