Services
The two of us have had cycling in our blood for a long time (we opened our first store together in 1991, in Hanover, Massachusetts). Our love of cycling started back when we did our first 80 mile road ride. Jimmy rode in jean shorts and cycling shoes, Beth had bike shorts and sneakers; and we were hooked.
A Peloton fitting? Who knew it existed? Beth came to my house with a bag full of tools and a head full of knowledge. Using her cycling experience, Beth asked a series of questions and had me perform some movements, both on and off the bike, in order to make the proper adjustments for me. She is very thorough and remarkable.
All assembly and mechanical service is performed by one person, co-owner Jimmy Mills. With nearly 30 years experience servicing bicycles, Jimmy realizes that your bicycle is your prized possession. He takes great care and time to make sure it is running as it should (all bicycles are test-ridden before being turned back to you).
Co-owner Beth Mills has fit hundreds of riders to new or existing bicycles. Beth has achieved the highest level as a Certified Master BodyGeometry Fit Technician. In fact, she travels to CA on a yearly basis to help teach new fitters and stay abreast of her trade. As Specialized has evolved, so has Beth; and she is now a Retul Certified Fitter.
As a small family-owned shop, we are proud to represent one of the biggest and best bicycle companies in the world. My partner's derailleur broke six miles into our fifty mile ride. We showed up at Cycle Lodge's door to see if anything could be done, and, even though we didn't have an appointment, the owners stopped everything, found a spare part, and fixed up his broken derailleur. All the while, they shared stories from their own cycling history and tips on rides. My partner's bike rode smoothly throughout the rest of our trip and we spent the rest of that beautiful day exploring the South Shore. The owners of Cycle Lodge absolutely saved our day. I purchased a new road bike this fall from Cycle Lodge this past fall. It replaced a 20+ year old 10 speed. Bikes have changed a lot over the past decades so Beth was invaluable in explaining the new categories and matching me to just what I needed. Beth and Jimmy made sure the bike was perfectly adjusted to my size and shape so it is as comfortable to ride as possible. I love the bike and I feel good knowing that they will continue to support me if I have questions or need expert repair. Beth and Jimmy are great and go out of their way to help you with every repair and purchase. I had a history of destroying wheels until Jimmy built me my first wheel set, it was bombproof. I put 5,000 miles on them on the road and then ran them all 'cross season without even needing to be re-tensioned. Heck, even after getting hit by a car Jimmy only needed a few minutes on the truing stand to get them back in shape. I've gone back to Jimmy for a second set of wheels and I cannot recommend him enough as a mechanic and a wheel builder. Great folks who care about their customers and the

When shopping for my first women's carbon road bike, I visited a couple of different shops that carried a large selection of brands. I knew nothing about road bikes and left each shop confused and frustrated. I had no idea how I was going to make this major purchase decision and select the right bike. Then I went to Cycle Lodge. Beth Mills spent over two hours working with me. She explained the bikes, did an initial fitting and then worked with me while I test drove the finalists [multiple times]. Jimmy and Beth take good care of their customers. One time I crashed on my mountain bike and needed a brake lever replaced in time to get another ride before the weather changed. Despite being busy, Jimmy got it done that same day and had me back on the trails.

I just came back from a bike fitting and it was actually more like having a physical at the Dr.'s Beth is very knowledgeable and she made sure that what she was doing to my bike was to help improve my overall riding expirence. I have quite a few medical problems, which she addressed thoroughly to try and avoid adding more pain then I am already in. If you have any biking issues or questions I highly recommend you go visit them.

I'm a new customer to this store and I don't regularly enjoy writing reviews; but Cycle Lodge has immediately made my MUST go-to list for anyone--though especially someone looking for PASSIONATE EXPERTS who are more than willing to share their advice and love of cycling to those getting more involved. They are meticulous with their repairs/body-work, have a Certified Master's BodyGeometry Fit Technician, and individually 20+ years of personal knowledge/advice.

The cycle lodge is the best bike shop around. They stand by the bike they sell, even after two years. Jim and Beth take the time to educate you on bike use and maintenance. They are fair when it comes to unique situations and cost. They also are fair with minor adjustments. It is evident they are in this business for the love of the sport!
