We are thrilled to announce the premiere of the Martinelli Family episode on SommTV's "Verticals" season! SommTV is the leading streaming service that provides education around Food & Wine, and is the same team behind the award-winning Somm movies. We spent two days filming with their talented team to capture the incredible story of Martinelli Winery, and how five generations of our family have farmed Jackass Hill over the past 140 years.
We're proud to be one of the last bastions of family winegrowing in Sonoma County. Spanning across five generations and more than 135 years, we've farmed the Martinelli estate vineyards with a relentless pursuit of quality and total dedication to our craft. These ideals are shared across our team - from the vineyard to the cellar to the tasting room - and are instilled in everything we do.

The Martinelli Family has been farming land and growing grapes in Sonoma County for over 135 years, consistently providing our winemaking team with exceptional fruit. It is our winemaking team's goal to continually produce wines from our estate vineyards that represent its terroir, and to reproduce these wines consistently and recognizably year after year.
We try as much as possible to use a hands-off approach during the winemaking process, allowing the wine to go through a set of natural processes with minimal intervention. Ironically, this approach requires much more expertise and attention from the winemaking team. Our wines are fermented with naturally occurring yeasts.
The primary goal of Martinelli Winery has always been hand-crafting quality wines that are born in our estate vineyards. Our commitment is to quality. These wines are limited production and each vineyard is hand farmed very carefully, producing only the finest quality fruit. The Martinelli Family has been growing Chardonnay on our family estate properties for generations.
The primary goal of Martinelli Winery has always been hand-crafting quality wines that are born in our estate vineyards. Each vineyard is meticulously farmed and we use only our favorite blocks for each vineyard designated wine. You typically will not find our wines on a shelf in a wine store, and since we make more than 30 unique wines, the best way to access these selections is direct from the winery.

Very disappointing. The wine was mediocre and the service bad. We had reserved in advance, including a cheese & charcuterie lunch for two. Sierra, our host, brought us to our table and left a brown bag which apparently had our lunch in it. She came back with two tiny paper plates and three cocktail napkins. No effort to offer a decent presentation. I took the contents out myself and asked her what everything was. She responded "I don't know. We just changed chefs". Comical in that the label indicated they had ordered it elsewhere. Zero value add. Just very disappointing experience.

The Martinelli Winery not only supports a local non-profit providing housing for homeless youth, they also craft delicious wine with a high alcohol content, which pairs wonderfully with meat. Their wine has an incredible depth of flavor, and the site of their winery is just gorgeous, rustic with an old winery feel, and a gorgeous stone worked terrace behind the tasting room with an outdoor gazebo for outdoor enjoyment.

Very nice vineyard with an awesome staff to boot. They were so informative about the local winery's and had a lot of other tips for spots to check out around the area. We both enjoyed the wine tasting and would recommend everyone gives it a try. Also bonus for you Tesla owners they have a charging station.
