Salon Prime concept came to my mind when I was working at a different salon as an assistant hair dresser. I always wanted to be an entrepreneur and that is how Salon Prime came to an existence. I wanted everybody to feel that nobody is better or worse. All the hair experts have been hand picked by Nathan and they have gone through the acid test before cutting / coloring / styling your hair.
Ever since I was a little girl I've always wanted to be a hairstylist and after being in the hair world for 7 years now, I can honestly say I wouldn't change it for the world. I decided to become a colorist because there's no better feeling than being able to help someone transform their visual appearance, and world in just a few hours.

Had an appointment with Arvin today and he gave me the perfect cut. I was looking for something new and I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. First time ever getting a fade and it came out amazing. He was awesome to talk to and I highly recommend him and salon prime.

Arvin is a fantastic hair stylist for men AND women. I have been having my hair cut by him for a bit now and I have always had problems coming to trust people cutting my hair. When I first met Arvin he was extremely friendly, open to my ideas and vision all while explaining what he believed can work and what might not work with my hair and head shape. He is an artist, but an artist who is also trying to make you feel extremely confident in yourself. Trust that Arvin will take care of you for whatever kind of hairstyle you desire! He's fantastic!

This salon was absolutely awesome. It has a very elite atmosphere. Service was very good and the stylist’s were very attentive. Arvin gave my girlfriend and I haircuts. He was very thorough and extremely professional. He keeps a great conversation and is very personable. Came all the way down from South Carolina to see him, because he’s just that good. My girlfriend came out extremely happy and was raving about it the whole car ride home. Will definitely go to this salon again and I recommend it completely.

Arvin the hairstylist has continuously given me the best blow outs and bouncy curls I’ve ever received! From the moment I walked in the door he was able to examen my hair and take action to give me the proper masks and treatment need to keep it nourished and healthy! He knew exactly how to work with my extensions to give me the silkiest, fullest looking waves that stayed for days!! I’ve never gotten so many compliments on my hair before. You need to book your next appointment with Arvin, you will never sit in anyone else’s chair again!!!

I first wanted to say how I loved the aesthetics of the salon and the fact that the salon was not packed with customers. But don’t let that make you think the salon and it’s hairdressers are not talented professionals. Alex did wonders with my locks. My hair was looking drab, puffy, and lack luster. Alex gave me an amazing haircut with subtle layers to give my hair some life. Normally, I’m really picky about my haircuts but i am very happy with the final product. I’d highly recommend coming here :)

I had come in hoping to get a medium length cut with bangs and each time I mentioned my preferences I was point blank told it wouldn't look good on me and I should do X instead. Granted, I'm not the professional hair stylist and I have no hair styling knowledge so I let the stylist do what they preferred.

I walked in with a horrible haircut from the day before by a different salon stylist and Nathan (the owner of Salon Prime) fixed it. He was honest with me because he told me to grow out my bangs instead of cutting them just for the sake of fixing it. He gave me a seamless and well blended haircut and I couldn't be happier.
The only thing I was unhappy with was the cost of the service. $85 for a haircut is pricey and very unreasonable. Otherwise, my experience was great and I highly recommend.

I've been going to Salon Prime for over a year now and all I can say is the experience keeps getting better! The whole team is always so welcoming. Nathan promotes a Salon that is not only professional but so very friendly, caring and warm. Pablo does an amazing job with my color and highlights. As he has gotten to know me, he has perfected the color/highlights and I left there today feeling amazing. The same is true of the haircut I got from Nathan. Thank you for making this always such a wonderful experience!!

To start, the aesthetic of this parlor is gorgeous. As soon as I walked in I was in a positive, clean, and crisp atmosphere. I was greeted instantly with a smile and a warm greeting by reception where I was offered a cappuccino while I waited for my cosmetologist. Within minutes I was taken back, with a cup of coffee in hand, to my salon chair.
Alexa was the true MVP of this experience. She brought me back and had such a positive attitude and chill vibe. She listened intently to what I wanted to my incredibly damaged hair and took my concerns into consideration

I hadn't had a haircut in about three years. I googled best hair salon in Long Island and salon prime came up, I read almost all the reviews and quickly and conveniently made an appointment online.
The next day I arrived to my appointment was greeted and waited just a couple of minutes for my stylist.
Alex sat me down for a quick consult and then gave me a great hair wash and the most phenomenal cut I've ever had!!! He's an absolute sweetheart and I felt I was in great hands from the moment I walked in!!!

It was my first time getting a half head balayage and I am so amazed by the results! It was such a pleasure to have Pablo as my stylist, who carefully listened when I explained what I was looking for. It actually turned out better than I imagined and I feel like a new person. Thank you, Pablo!

Parking is a bit tricky around this area, as it is right inside downtown RVC. But there is paid muni parking right behind the salon.
Everything looked fresh, bright, and clean as soon as you walk in the door. All of the stylists and assistants were very courteous.
I had a gift certificate for a hair cut. No problems at all getting it redeemed and no one made me feel like I was getting any less of a service because of it. My stylist was Noah. He was very enthusiastic, and you could tell that he has great passion for his craft. They have a ring

Where do I begin? Not only is Salon Prime an extremely gorgeous, high end, and clean salon but everyone there is super nice and highly attentive the second you walk in the door. I get my hair colored by ALEXA - and I am always satisfied with her work. She knows exactly what she is doing and will always give you her honest feedback on what she thinks will work/not work in regards to color. ALEX does my hair cuts and blow-dry for a while now and I'm so happy every single time. Not only is he extremely personable but he has hands of gold! I've been following salon prime on Instagram for the longest time and I finally went in for a hair cut and blow dry.. let me tell you .. they did not disappoint.
They abide by all the CDC guidelines for COVID, temperature is taken, all the questions are asked as well as everyone has their masks on and there is a 6ft distance between all the stations, people and chairs throughout the whole salon.

The vibe is pleasant the owner is humble the staff is so polite and welcoming. The receptionist took my coat and I was offered coffee/water/tea which is definitely a plus! Decided to get my hair professionally cut for the first time in a while and stumbled on Salon Prime's Yelp page (so glad I did).
Nathan is the best! I made an appointment for a haircut and asked for a trim, long layers, and face framing pieces.

I had been seeing the same stylist and colorist for NINE YEARS prior to this, and when they moved away I felt totally abandoned. Every woman (and man; don't want to gender stereotype) knows that the relationship with your hairdresser and colorist is sacred. Once you find your person, you VERY rarely stray from them. And finding a new one is a ~stressful~ experience.
Doing hair is all about trust, and Jackie + Alex DEFINITELY have mine.

A year and a half ago Zeena started cutting my hair and I have been to no one else since. She is by far, the best, most talented hair stylist I have ever had. as well as being the nicest.
I've gone through my share of hair stylists in my lifetime, so that is saying a lot. I'm a bit ( OK, a lot) picky and I like a specific kind of very short cut. I am always so nervous something will go wrong! I feel so, so safe in Zeena's hands, especially after receiving beautiful cut after beautiful cut. My anxiety has vanished.
