Jim Earle founded Carmel Valley Home Improvement in 2004 following a successful career in financial services. After twelve years as a stockbroker, Jim wanted to do something more meaningful. He says, "As a broker, you make money when you make trades, whether it's in the client's best interest or not."
Jim chose to become a contractor because, When you improve a person's home, you improve the quality of their life. When your house is nice, it makes everything in your life run better. A former US Army Ranger, who went into the military as an enlisted man after high school, Jim went on to graduate from San Diego State with a degree in business.

Carmel Valley Contracting is a general contracting company specializing in high end kitchen and bathroom remodels. We serve the North County San Diego area, on projects ranging from new construction to both small and large remodeling and renovation jobs. Owner Jim Earle takes pride in meeting and exceeding the needs of our clients, making sure the project is completed on time, on or below budget and they are truly satisfied with the results.
We've contracted with Carmel Valley Contracting for several years for a number of projects in our home. These projects included a major reconstruction following flooding with extensive water damage, plumbing and electrical problems, cabinetry and carpentry.
Jim Earle has not only performed these functions with care, reliability, and efficiency but has also become a trusted advisor to us for all matters pertaining to the care and management of our home.He pays meticulous attention to detail and makes certain that every task is completed to both the client's, and his satisfaction.

Jim's ability to meet my immediate needs deserve a special mentioning, as living without a kitchen sink is quite difficult. Jim provided a competitive price quote, worked in an efficient manner, and finished the job in less time than I thought it would take. He explained the process for repair, had the right tools and extra parts, did a great job, and I would definitely have Carmel Valley Contracting back to take care of other
