Services
Dr. Stan Herman began practicing pediatric dentistry in Indianapolis in 1961, while also teaching part time at Indiana University School of Dentistry. After a gas leak explosion condemned his office, Dr. Herman began searching for the perfect community to rebuild and expand his practice. He decided to move to our current location at 6211 W. 30th St. in the growing town of Speedway in 1976.
According to the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, the definition of someone who may have special health care needs is someone with any physical, developmental, mental, sensory, behavioral, cognitive, or emotional impairment or limiting condition that requires medical management, health care intervention, and/or use of specialized services or programs.
Mild pain, swelling and bleeding are normal following a dental extraction for 48-72 hrs. If any of these symptoms persist or are inhibiting normal function, please call for an evaluation. Mild swelling around the injection site or extraction socket can be aided by cold compression for 15 min intervals.

My daughter was terrified of the dentist after her first experience they did some work on her and didn't allow parents back with the kids. She wouldn't let any dentist after that even.look.into her mouth let alone clean it or fix anything. I had two ppl recommend Dr Kahn so I called and got her an appointment. Not only did they get her to do x Ray's but they got her to let him clean her teeth !!! And the staff was super nice needless to say I am.very happy with this dentist and we.wipp be bringing her and her baby sister when she is old enough!!

Doctor Kahn was recommended to me by our primary dentist cause my daughter required some specialized services I'm extremely glad he did. Dr Kahn is extremely patient and kind he worked very hard to answer all my questions and let me know what was going on at all times. He also gave me information about my daughter's teeth that I hadn't had before they gave me a lot of peace of mind. It's an open floor plan at this dental office all the kiddos are just together in one big Room with little stations for each patient. There is a large TV on the wall with cartoons playing that they can watch while getting

This office is very accommodating. They have a very nice little waiting room, with a play corner and reading area for the kids, as well as a few modded arcade cabinets for the kids to occupy themself while waiting. the wait was short, and the staff very friendly. They have an open layout for the exams, with multiple chairs, which really set my son at ease. Dr Kahn seems experienced with kids on the autism spectrum and ready to work with parents on acclimating their children to the dental care experience, rather than being pushy about getting everything done a certain way. We love Dr Kahn. His staff is wonderful. They always have made my son feel comfortable, and safe, even though going to the dentist as a toddler can be pretty scary. They are also fast, so your child won’t have to be there long for a routine cleaning. We’ve been seeing him for a few years now and highly recommend

Dr. Kahn and his staff are AMAZING! They have provided dental care our children for about 12 years. When we first came it was an emergency situation with our youngest child in excruciating pain. He ended up having to have a surgery. Afterwards, there was no residual pain and our son was finally in a dental office willing to get exams instead of fighting against the exam.
They create an atmosphere that calms the children (with kid movies and handheld video games) and gives ease to parents as well. Dr. Kahn and his staff have been teaching our children how to properly care for their teeth at home

Dr. Mark Kahn is absolutely thee "BEST" pediatric dentist. He is gentle and kind. Conversates with the children and does his best to assure they are comfortable before doing procedures. The staff is friendly and professional as well. My girls loves going to the dentist even knowing there may be a shot involved. They get you right in and out. Dr. Kahn and his staff is GREAT!

My both kids love coming to the dentist!!! Dr. Kahn & his whole staff do such a great job!! Great atmosphere, they are quick! Been taking my kids here for about 2 years now, and they love it!!
