Real Good Nutrition
Website
Real Good Nutrition offers in-person and virtual 1:1 nutrition therapy and counseling services as well as corporate wellness solutions and Madison-area grocery store tours. In a surprisingly short amount of time, Emmy has helped me combat my unhealthy relationship with food and exercise, address my negative body image and self-consciousness, and has allowed me a future of food freedom.

Being someone who has always struggled with weight, I never dreamed this was possible. My past experiences with nutritionists and dietitians made me terrified and skeptical, but Emmy approaches her clients with the utmost care and respect. I have never once felt judged but instead have been embraced with love and understanding.
Services
Perhaps like you, I also asked myself the question "What's a dietitian and how can one help me?" which was shortly followed with "What the $#@% is gluten?" after learning I was newly diagnosed with Celiac disease. Challenged by a lack of nutritional knowledge and some serious health scares, I developed a strained relationship with food to say the least.
Work one-on-one with me to create a personalized plan to meet your individual health, nutrition, or wellness goals on your terms with no judgement. Using evidence-based practice rooted in science, I specialize in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for a variety of health-related conditions.

As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I also specialize in Intuitive Eating for healing from eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, and chronic dieting.Together, I'll help you focus on balance while growing sustainable habits. No quick fixes or miracle green drinks, and no restrictive diets.
One part of self-care that is lacking for so many us is unfortunately sleep. Well good news - I've got 5 research-backed tips for you here to get more restful, restorative sleep. Spoiler alert: I'm not going to tell you to stop eating at 8pm, or avoid carbs after lunch. You know me better than that at this point.
Earned a Bachelor's degree with course work approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Accredidation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. Completed an accredited, extensive supervised practice program with direct patient contact at a health care facility, community agency, or food service corporation (depending on the dietitian's interest and career goals).

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, Quality
I attended a nutrition class by Emmy and have since signed up for her newsletters and follow her on Instagram. She is an all star. She doesn't push gimmicks and always backs her statements by research! I would recommend her to anyone who wants a fresh, healthy, and authentic perspective on how you can fuel your body!

Emmy is the BEST! Not only is she super knowledgeable, she genuinely cares about you!! After my first session with her I was already seeing results of my symptoms easing & felt more 'normal'. I love that I can chat with her whenever I have a question & that she's quick to reply. Worth every penny!!!

Emmy has been an absolute blessing. She is a wealth of knowledge and has really helped me navigate my eating habits and behaviors in a healthy and sustainable way. I feel like we live in a world full of mixed messages in regards to nutrition and Emmy has helped me realize what I should focus my attention on verses what is just “noise” and “fad diet culture information”.

I suddenly found myself dealing with GERD, AKA acid reflux. It came on quickly and was pretty uncomfortable. Not to mention that the standard advice--don't eat X and Y and Z--is so limiting. I wanted to talk with someone who's a gut expert, and Emmy was a great find. She gave me a rundown of good options, and she helped explain what was going on. She's a great listener, and she brings a human approach to the treatment--unlike GI docs' "don't eat anymore" approach.
