How did our beachfront condominium get its name? During winter in the early 1970s a quartet from Ohio met to finalize their plans to build on a beautiful piece of property they had purchased on Sanibel Island. It turned out that one member of the group, a doctor, was late and arrived wearing a pair of worn, sandy beach sands (footwear seldom see in dreary Ohio winters).

We stayed over Thanksgiving in unit 4C3. It went above and beyond our expectations. Everything was impeccably clean, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, and the lanai was well stocked with beach chairs, umbrella, and even tools to help with the wonderful shelling! We will definitely be back again!

This was our twentieth year going to Sanibel for Thanksgiving. We had always stayed at another place until this year, it had been booked for a wedding. A friend recommended Sandalfoot so we tried it and we are so glad we did. What a great place everything was so clean and well-kept and attention to small details taken. We will be going back there from now on.

We have stayed here a few times and it will continue to be our choice when choosing a Sanibel vacation. The staff is very attentive. With only 60 units it is relatively quiet and relaxing. The units are well maintained for their age and beach access is down a boardwalk. We love to beach walk in the AM and the light house is close by as well as paved sidewalks. Have already made reservations for next year.

The entire property was impeccably maintained, our unit (4C3) had a beautiful ocean view, steps to the beach & pool. It was stocked above and beyond with amenities. From the kitchen to the loaded lanai full of beach & pool equipment the unit had everything that we needed and more. We can’t wait to book another relaxing vacation here.

Wife and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Unit was well equipped, with great views. Property was well maintained, and the beach area is far less crowded than at some of the larger properties. Staff in the office were pleasant and accommodating. We would be delighted to go back.

Our Family of 4 had an awesome time at Sandalfoot. The Condo we rented had just the right mix of beach supplies (chairs, coolers, umbrella and a cart to take everything to the beach) that we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We like this location as it is a bit off of the heavy traffic areas and very peaceful and it is on a beautiful part of the beach. The office staff was awesome in answering our questions and they were a pleasure to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom ground floor unit May 29-June 5, 2021. The unit was perfect for us. We could walk out the screened porch to the pool or beach. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed, it even had beach chairs, an umbrella and pool floats.
The AC was not working for the first few days but we were able to move to another unit until it was repaired. The employees were very kind and helpful. We will stay here again.

We have been going to Sandalfoot for 25 years, and wouldn't consider anyplace else. Upgrades continue every time we visit. Great for families of all ages, close to the beach, walking distance to the Lighthouse (and Lighthouse Cafe, our favorite breakfast place on the island). Friendly, attentive staff. Fantastic!

Older complex that has been well maintained and appears to have been updated recently. Our family of 4 had plenty of room and the kitchen and appliances were practically new. Pool area is very well maintained and walk to the beach is very close. Quick access to restaurants and very close to the lighthouse and fishing pier.
My only critique is the location of the facility. This end of Sanibel faces directly south/southeast and there is no view of the sunset in the west from the beach area. Otherwise, great facility.

Close friends of ours had booked these condominiums and asked us to join. Glad I did.
I will say it's a bit pricey, but it was Memorial weekend and you are literally on the water. Not sure what the off season rates are but there's a 3 night minimum.
The condos are fully furnished and equipped with all your needs. They even had beach chairs, beach towels and coolers available. The bathrooms were a bit grungy and outdated. But overall the condos are kept pretty clean. We had unit 3D3 and it was super spacious. Parking was right out front

Rented off VRBO for 4 days of our honeymoon. Staff was friendly when we arrived and very informative. Unit (1B3) was clean and organized with little helpful notes. Kitchen was tiny but it was okay cause we didn't use it a ton. Glad to find extra towels under the sink! View from our unit was GORGEOUS. Loved watching the sunrises in the morning! I really enjoyed our stay here and was very pleased. Would come here again. It wasn't super crowded maybe because it's October but it didn't feel way touristy.

This was our first stay at Sandalfoot and, I, surprisingly was very, very pleased!!!! The view from our unit (42B) was stunning, both of the pool and Gulf. The unit itself was small but adequate and very nicely decorated and clean. I loved the lime decor. Staff is super friendly and accommodating to your every need. I liked the camaraderie between the guests and residents and enjoyed the Valentine's Day spread gratis. This small condominium fills up fast so book early! I will be back.
