Slice Shabu

I love slice because their food is delicious!!!! But I also love the service i get from them every time.... Today our waitress viviane was so awesome and attentive... she made sure we were good and checked on us often... it just made my dining experience there better!!! I love this place!!!! Good food and good service ....

Absolutely love this place. It is one fo the only consistently good resturants in OC. The meat quality is great and the suaces/sides go perfectly together. They also serve cocktails which is a nice addition!

Thanks Slice! You always do an amazing job with your thinly slices of meat. Melts in your mouth! I always get the Tonkotsu broth. Love it! We will be again soon!

Came here on a Friday night around 6 pm, and we hardly had to wait to get our table, woo! Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. We ordered the 4 oz and 6 oz toro (beef belly) with spicy miso and tom yum broth. I thought the broths were OK, not super flavorful. However, the beef was tender, and I really enjoyed the sauces I picked out (spicy garlic and goma). The spicy garlic was especially good. They offer unlimited veggies, but the options they offered were slightly limited. I'm not typically a big fan of harder vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, squash, etc with shabu. I did enjoy

This place is very close to home so I come here once a week. Service is always great whenever I come. They're very attentive and make sure to refill your water. Their garlic edamame is a must try! It's so flavorful! I always get the sukiyaki broth with toro belly. My favorite dipping sauce is the spicy garlic!

Went for a date night as we love Shabu. Our server, Eric I believe, was AWESOME! This place has a lot of great options and Eric was able to answer our questions between the differences in their options and help us through ordering to make sure we ended up with a great meal. We got their Veggie option and their Spicy Miso which had a good kick to it. Overall great food and experience.

First time eating here. The experience was great. Servers and staff provided warm welcoming and friendly experience! The food was excellent and pricing is reasonable. Will definitely visit again when in the area and recommend trying this place out.

The food was absolutely fabulous! The service was a little slow and disjointed. Server didn't seem to understand we wanted our appetizer first before ordering our main. Bar was slow with the drinks too but the food and overall experience was good. Would go again.

Finally got to try slice and I was very impressed!
I ordered the 6 oz short rib with spicy pork miso soup with a Kirin beer while my friend ordered the 6 oz beef toro with spicy Szechuan and tonkatsu soup mixed together and a lychee calpico

Our server was kind enough to marinate our meat for us, and it was sooo tasty!! I believe it was sesame oil, chili oil and shichimi. Our meat was so tender and delicious, I loved all the veggies that came with it And the fact that u could get more veggies for free is dope

Solid shabu place with quality meats. The short rib was particularly flavorful. Not the most affordable of shabu for the portion size, but definitely one of the tastiest. The spicy garlic sauce is bomb! And I love that they give you a ton of thinly sliced green onions! They have unlimited veggie refills. Service to the outdoor space could've been better though. But a good restaurant all around!

I believe our server was Austin(that's what it said on the receipt) If not, he had brown hair and a sport cut!
This was the best service we have gotten yet! He was really fast in helping us with all of our requests and he even made some extra suggestions like putting sesame oil and chilli/cajun powder on the meat/seafood and adding some tsuyu in the broth which made it so much more flavorful!
Overall I totally recommend this restaurant and their combo selection!

Open for dine in with plexy glass on place still. Great service. I love their spicy garlic sauce and fried fish roe balls! Can't wait to try their bottomless mimosas and $9 for 2 margaritas. 🤤

I haven't been back here since they changed their name from Sakura to slice shabu.


The meat quality here is superb. I love the all you can eat locations. The thing is, a lot of the locations removed prime ribeye and the round cuts of meat. Those were the best cuts of meat.

It's a little more expensive to pay per pate. Slice is worth though. The meat quality was really good. Melt in the mouth thin slices. Beautiful marbling.

Everything was amazing from the ambiance to the food. Meat was super tender, and the pork broth was not only delicious and flavorful but also light! Best of all were the delicious dipping sauces, very delightful! Enjoyed every last bite! Highly recommend!

The place was super spacious. All of the staff was nice and helpful. The restaurant offered quality meat that I enjoyed. Will come back to try more broth than pork bone and sukiyaki. Great udon to eat with the shabu ❤

Visited for the first time recently and I was very impressed! I believe they have indoor and outdoor seating but it was raining the night I went so indoor was the only option. The servers were very attentive and took all COVID-19 precautions and handled my table safely. I had a party of 6 and they were able to accommodate that perfectly and away from other tables.

Prior to showing up, we made a reservation a day in advance due to my party size and they were able to accommodate us and allowed us to change the reservation last minute with no issue. When we arrived, the server set our tables up

Great outdoor dining experience with barriers in place between tables to social distance. Quality is meat was excellent. Broth was rich and decadent. The dipping sauces complimented the food really well. I usually don’t eat veggies but these were fresh and enjoyable with the broth. I got the udon with my Combo A. I would get the ramen instead next time.

Decent place. Tasty broth and fresh veggies. Generous on sauces but not so much on veggies. My pumpkin was sliced super thin. And much was not given compared to some other places I've been too.

They take COVID precautions such as temperature checks, hand sanitizer, and outdoor seating.

Service was great. Staff stopped by several times checking up on us.

Always love Slice! We go here pretty often and am so happy they're finally open for indoor and outdoor dining. They have so much seating to accommodate everyone, which make wait times go by faster. We came on a Friday today and had to wait about an hour. It was a name and phone number system where they'd call you when it was your turn. We got seated indoors and we were spaced out from other tables so we felt completely safe. The tables all had plastic screens so you weren't next to people directly ever which was also a nice addition to social distancing.

Sukiyaki broth is our favorite

If you are looking for quality meat and quality broth for Shabu Shabu, this is the place for you! They have plenty of outdoor seating and added some to their parking lot. They have clear hanging walls to make you feel safe and it feels like you are in a little cubicle. They take your temperature and take all measures to make you feel safe!

Food: I ordered 8 oz of toro with ramen and got the Tom yum soup ($3) which is my personal favorite. It is very flavorful and it got me feeling veryyyy full. I added hot drops to my soup and my sauces because I like to eat extra spicy. Their ramen is house made

Broth was good, beef and lamb meat were good quality; however, the salmon was Not fresh!!! A bit disappointed. Service was okay...A bit slow. Overall, it was good to try out but not highly recommended.
