This place is extremely overpriced for the quality of fish you are getting. For 3 people it came out to $300 with tip. Portions were small but they gave sooo much rice to fill you up instead of the raw fish. Would recommend going to more hole in the wall sushi restaurants near by that are more decently priced. Waiter was nice but would stop by every 15 min and was overbearing, recommending unnecessary menu items.

First Timer here and I was guest of very special guest. The service was ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL. It's an Authentic Japanese feel. The food was also AMAZING (Oishi desu) that I totally missed my photo opt (was a bit disappointed after realizing I didn't take any photos of the food, which I usually do).
If you're here, in this Majestic Garden, take a moment and experience this place. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I were stunned by not only the food, which was fresh and delicious, but by the service. Greeted warmly by the manager, we were seated with Ratib, easily one of the sweetest, most attentive servers we have had. His recommendations were spot on and he was simply a delightful man. So thankful we decided to eat here and will absolutely be returning for Ratib the next time!

Enjoyed a great dinner with friends from Hawaii! The food was very deelish and the presentation was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this Japanese restaurant to anyone! It's like a gem that has been hidden for too long. The sushi plate was fresh and the presentation was outstanding! I ordered the chicken karaage bowl and that was very tasty. I'm sure when things get back to normal this will be a hot spot with the shabu shabu tables. Come check them out and show your support.

I cannot rave enough about this place! The staff is outstanding, as they went above and beyond to be attentive, the food is outstanding and delectable. The prices might seem steep, but with the friendly staff, the high quality food, and the cozy, private seating, it is all well worth the price! Their rainbow roll, Hanagi roll, warm sake, plum wine, and spicy tuna were all stupendous. I cannot wait to go back!

My family and I ate at Hanagi Japanese restaurant while staying at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel on a Sunday evening around 8P.M. The décor and ambiance is absolutely stunning. It's a upscale restaurant that focuses on Sushi and Hibachi. There is a specialized kids menu though.
The floor space is well design, with separated bamboo coverage between each table seating. The service was relatively slow though. The team member whom was taking our order, providing the food, and seating team members was the only team member assisting all visitors on that Sunday evening.

We, 2 people, walked in and asked if they take walk ins or is it reservations only? The person at the front desk said they do walk ins but could we come back in 20 minutes. The bar seating had only 2 people and there were 6 more chairs open.

Hidden gem near Disneyland Resort. One can say Anaheim Resort area has been missing this type of Japanese restaurant ever since Yamabuki at Disney Paradise Pier hotel closed down.
Hanagi is an upscale eatery, but still friendly to the casual dress guest featuring modern drinks and takes on some of Japan's most treasured dishes. The spacious floor copes well with Covid distancing and service was both prompt and informative.

The food here is great, the sushi, sashimi, and the shabu shabu was delicious. Great, clean atmosphere and the managers were all nice however our server while friendly, was absent alot. Food took some time but not too bad. It was more just not knowing where our server was the whole time. The managers came by alot to check in which was nice.

We were mistakenly 20 minutes late for our reservation and the hostess was extremely nice and forgiving about it. For the quality portions the price was reasonable. Our server let us order the half portions with the addition of two rolls. Really made our Valentine's! Great service, and lots of checking in to make sure we were comfortable and okay! Definitely recommend the vegetable broth and the spicy salmon roll !! (tons of vegan+vegetarian options!!)

Hanagi is a wonderful restaurant on the hotel property and is beautifully decorated. The food was well prepared with great skill. My group had a variety of foods from the nigiri, sushi, and shabu shabu. Including the martinis, edamame, wings, and desserts the flavors were all fantastic. They were very aware to be cautious of a shellfish allergy and yes, even if it is a risk to eat there with an allergy our friend didn't have any symptoms.

Very good sushi and shabu shabu. Both the quality of the fish as well as the quality of the meat are great. One star minus for the service. There is still lots of room for improvement. We had to get up serval times to find our server when we needed help. The bill had to be corrected as well at the end.

I can't stop thinking about our amazing dinner at Hanagi. First of all, we are fans of the Majestic Garden Hotel. It's not super fancy but it has a special place in our hearts. We have been there 10 times this year alone. Now that Hanagi has opened, we are even more thrilled! Truth be told, I work for a hotel company and could easily stay in Anaheim for a discount but I can't stay away from this hotel.

Had dinner last night at this restaurant with co-workers and were pleasantly surprised!
Food was delicious and service was friendly. We started with edamame and a couple sushi rolls. Sushi was very fresh and delicious.
The main course was Shabu and it was amazing! We did Beef, Pork, and Tofu with the Udon noodles. Broth was very flavorful and there were plenty of veggies to go in the pot as well. Meat was fresh and sliced thin for quick cooking.
I'll definitely be back, I'm glad there's a great Shabu place in the resort area!

The salmon roe was like no other roe I've ever eaten, it tasted like it was plucked straight from the sea. The Ahi and Yellowtail were so fresh, it's like they caught it just outside of the kitchen. The mochi ice cream was a heavenly treat after such a delicious presentation of sushi. I can't wait to come back and try the shabu shabu
