National Martial Arts
DRAGONS -Three and four year olds have lots of energy and love anything involving playing. Our program is designed to harness that energy and teach them life skills that will set them for their future. Whether that is prepping them for Pre-K, Kindergarten, improving their interaction with their peers, controlling their anger, learning to focus, developing self-discipline, and much more, all while having fun learning the basics of martial arts.

NINJAS -Five to seven year olds are the most enthusiastic students and always looking for your approval. This is an important time in their young lives, they love creativity and making decisions on their own to solve problems. The great thing about this program is we work on eight skills that help them with their everyday problems.
Services
As a Foster Friendly Business with Tennessee Kids Belong we offer a 20% off discount to foster families as well. My 4 year old has been attending NMA for the last 3 months. The instructors are amazing and great with the kids. She has completely come out of her shell and this is one of the best ideas we have done upon moving to Oak Ridge.
Our professionally ran birthday parties are offered for children as young as 5 years of age. We provide the facility, tables, chairs, entertainment, and clean up. You may bring your own decorations, food, cake, etc. Each party is an hour and a half long, and your child gets to experience a great martial arts themed party.
Community Service is a big part of National Martial Arts of Oak Ridge. We encourage our students to get out and help make the community an ever better place to be. One of the ways to earn their belts is community service hours. It is more than just teaching self-defense here at NMA, we teach core values and how important working with our community is.
One day while sitting in a restaurant in Alabama, Mrs. Koppel noticed some bags hanging on the wall. She went to check them out and saw they were KultureCity bags, immediately she knew National Martial Arts had to have them. She and Mr. Koppel went through the online training KultureCity provided and now their bags are available at NMA.

Our family has been taking classes at National Martial Arts for the past year. All the way from 3 years old to adult kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu. This school is more than martial arts it's truly a community. Kids classes are geared toward a fun environment, but also focus on respect and discipline. Great place to gain confidence, friends, and lose pounds. Come try the FREE TRIAL and see for yourself!

We love having our kids take karate with Dustin. He offers the right balance of discipline and fun. I’ve watched our kids grow as individuals as well as improve the self-defense skills. I love that we perform community service as part of the belt testing. It’s clear that Dustin loves what he does and that NMA is more than a paycheck to him.

NMA is very welcoming for people of all abilities. I have been going for almost 2 years starting with just self defense for the skills/knowledge and kickboxing for the cardio workout. Krav Maga is very practical for this day and age and I hope that I will never need to use it but I am glad that the instructors are knowledgeable and help us all to learn and adapt to our situations. I tried Brazilian Jiu Jitsu about a year ago and have enjoyed learning so much that I still drive 22 minutes to Oak Ridge (I started at NMA Knoxville 2 minutes from my house and switched to Oak Ridge when the Knoxville

I would highly recommend National Martial Arts of Oak Ridge, TN. I've trained there for years and my oldest son trains there. The camaraderie is great and everyone is more than willing to share and help each other learn. There are no tough guys or bad attitudes. Dustin is an exceptional instructor. He is very patient and has the ability to teach and explain things in a way that makes it easy to learn. Also phenomenal exercise. If you're bored with running or lifting weights you should definitely try Jiu Jitsu at National Martial Arts.

Excellent instructors with loads of patience and encouragement for each student. My son is not only learning vital self defense moves, but also building and strengthening character traits as well.
Our experience with National Martial Arts has been nothing but positive. Also, from the parent's standpoint, I really appreciate the schedule availability for lessons throughout the week. This makes it easy
to ensure their progress even when conflicts arise and hinder our normal routine.

We have had three kids (ages 7 through 17) taking lessons at National Martial Arts for almost a year and a half. It has changed their lives. As important as the skills are they have gained, we value the discipline, self-respect, moral values, and community service they have learned just as much.
The owners and staff are excellent instructors and easily adapt to different ages and skill sets. Dustin Koppel has no problem teaching basic karate to my 7 year old daughter in one class and Krav Maga to my 17 year old son in another.
We began taking our kids here by recommendation and are glad we did

National Martial Arts is absolutely fantastic. My four year old daughter started classes a couple of months ago, and loves it. The instructors don't only focus on martial arts; they also make focus and respect a big part of the classes. The classes are fun and educational, and are one of the best deals that I've seen. I could not be more happy with my experience here.
