Aurelija graduated from Loyola University Chicago, cum laude, in 2010, and was admitted to the bar that same year. While in law school, Aurelija was a Civitas ChildLaw Fellow, where she focused her studies and clerkships on representing children and families.
She was an Executive Editor of the Children's Legal Rights Journal, clerked at the Office of the Cook County Public Guardian, and practiced in juvenile court under a 711 license, representing children involved in the child protection and juvenile court systems.

Jonathan Merel and his team are some of the best lawyers I have ever worked with. I hired them to help me with my divorce and they were incredible. Part of the way through my case there was a lengthy gap in communication where the lawyer previously working on my case had left the firm and I wasn't informed of this for several weeks at a time. Outside of that, the team is professional, timely, and helpful. Where to start other than Mrs. Norton is hands down, one of the most exceptional and insightful attorneys I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
