Our talented artists are happy to work with you through the entire tattoo process, from design and placement to aftercare. Esoteric Tattoo was founded in 2015 by Dominick McIntosh. After spending nine years tattooing in the Portland metro area, Dominick sought to create a space that reflected both his artistic vision and what he loved about the city and its weirdo denizens.

Our parlor is modest, intimate, and designed for the sole purpose of creating lasting art. Our tattoo family pushes the boundaries of possibility and acceptance, in an attempt to broaden the appreciation of the tattoo collector. Our shop is discerning, our time is limited, and every tattoo we do is treated with the utmost respect and importance.
Services
Dominick began his tattoo career in 2003, apprenticing under Eric Skramstad at Edge Tattoo in Pawtucket, RI. He has since tattooed at several shops around the country, and moved to Portland, Oregon in 2006. After tattooing at Living Art Tattoo for three years, he co-founded Dead Gods Tattoo in Tigard.
Bob Jones has been tattooing for an undetermined amount of time maybe 8 years. He loves anime, giant fighting robots, belgian beers, corgi puppies and sushi. He also is quite passionate about art and drawing which fuels his drive for tattooing. He enjoys traveling and working tattoo conventions around the U.S. as well as the rest of the world.
Will Bowler has been tattooing professionally in the Portland metro area for over 10 years now, with no signs of slowing. His humble beginnings at a busy suburban street shop were short lived, as he insisted on drawing time consuming custom designs, instead of the typical small flash artwork which was so prevalent at that time.
Hailing from the rain soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest, Coleman started his apprenticeship under the tutelage of Dominick McIntosh in 2010. Having a life-long passion for art and more specifically illustration, he has transferred that same passion towards tattooing. Style - Cultivating a uniquely illustrative style, Coleman prefers to focus his personal work on the arcane, obscure and occult.
I moved to Portland six-ish years ago, originating in the snowy land of Lake Tahoe, California. I've always had an affinity for art, and working in the body modification industry for the majority of my adult life brought me here. I apprenticed under William Bowler, with help from everyone at Esoteric Tattoo, and Cobra Kai Tattoo Dojo.
